Hello I'm starting to build a new website for a particular keyword. My question is, does keyword-rich domain improves ranking in search engines?

Please I need you opinions. I'm searching for the thread about keyword-rich domain but can't find it here.

Thanks a lot. :)

Yes it is always better to include your main keyword in your domain name. It helps with ranking.

Thanks for the straight answer, but how is that so? I've read on some articles on keyword-rich domains, and their conclusions is it doesn't help in the rankings.

I want to add a question about domain names too, if someone could answer it. Will Google consider a Blogger account keyword-rich if I do something like "keyword.blogspot.com"?

I have a few domains that are com/net....but trying to find domain names that match my keywords is getting tougher these days. Does anyone have an opinion on this?

Google "Make money online" without quotes.

Google: it dosent helps too much, yes to an extent it do, but google gives more weightage to other parameters like backlinks, on site seo, blah, blah, blah

Yahoo: It helps a lot to include keywords.

Tip of the day: including keyword in your domain name is a good practice. :D

Thank you for all the enlightenment! Especially the Tip of the Day! thanks frizli.. :D My site will be on it's way...

Including keyword in your domain name is better for Google and your user.

Two tips for "NO" use blogger.com and start your batch and SEO.

1 - You will not have a "domain" but a "sub-domain". COM Domains point or point-NET is better to sort the search engines.

2 - If you leave footprints too google will ban your account blogger and you lose all your work. This is irreversible.

I hope I have helped.

key words are the way to go so when the spider hits your site it will rank you high depending on your niche and you can increase your ranking faster and get on top of google
