So, idk how many of you still find profile links to be useful but, I just came across this and it's been a while since I shared something useful(or not so useful) on the forum so, i decided to go with it. By the way, i did check if this was already present in any of the other threads in the forum and it was not.

Here's an example link:
https://connect.garmin.com/modern/profile/tomrott DA: 89 Spam score: 3%

indexing proof for the same:

and, that's about it. over and out :)

Thanks for the share. However, I'm unable to locate the URL in the page source.

is it just me?

However, I'm unable to locate the URL in the page source.
now that you mention it, even i cannot seem to find it.

what's that supposed to mean now? it's present in the page, the right click>Inspect method confirms that it's do-follow. Doesn't seem like an iframe either.

In fact, I cannot find even the other elements on the page such as the texts.

Yes, I tried inspecting it too and it just has a rel="noopener" tag, so definitely a ********.

I hope somebody else can confirm what's happening there.

Can anyone please explain what's going on here? o_O
why isn't the link visible in the source code and does it affect it's SEO value?

The link is not visible because the page content is generated by JavaScript. If Googlebot can run JavaScript, then the link is good.

EDIT: Here is the cache link. There's no content at all on that page, so 99.99% Googlebot can't execute that JavaScript code (it doesn't want)
Code:
https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache%3Ahttps%3A%2F%2Fconnect.garmin.com%2Fmodern%2Fprofile%2Ftomrott

This is not true. Google can index a page even if is generated by javascript, also Google interprets CSS syntax too.

Yeah, it can but it won't. If you check the cache, the page is empty. If Googlebot executed the JavaScript code, it should render exactly as the live website. Now, we don't know if Google will count as a backlink for that domain, in this particular case.

so 99.99% Googlebot can't execute that JavaScript code (it doesn't want)
Hey but the example link page is already indexed in google. I've shared an ss in the post itself. Also, it's not just this one, I can see several profile pages index on google so, i think i shouldn't be worrying too much about it

That's not a proper way to check. generally, google doesn't render pages in the cache. you can check via this

Code:
https://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Aconnect.garmin.com%2Fmodern%2Fprofile%2Ftomrott+Blog+http%3A%2F%2Fwww.derrottenberg.com

Still doubtful that should be made a link or this or not
What do you have to lose? It only takes a few mins.

However, some sites do this kind of things when they import content from another source. For example, Wikiwand gets content from Wikipedia and if you view source on any page on wikiwand, you'll see the article is not really there.

And in this case, I think this site is loading content from their old site. Notice the /modern/ part in the URL.

"connect.garmin.com/profile/tomrott" redirects to >> "connect.garmin.com/modern/profile/tomrott"

And finally, Google can definitely see the link as it is in the search description.
