Judging Real Backlink Value

I check topical relevance, real organic traffic, page quality, outbound link patterns, indexing and whether the link could send genuinely interested visitors.

When chossing a backlinks how do you judge it's real value beyond third-party metrics?
You might check for strict topical relevance, actual organic traffic, natural placement within the main body text, and a clean outbound link profile.

the single query that comes to mind is whether or not i would still need that link from google if it offered no SEO value whatsoever. the answer being yesh means the site has an actual audience nd has the ability to delliver relevant traffic. in such a case i would not really care much about the DA or DR.

check if the page actually gets crawled regularly by looking at when Google last indexed it.

i look at whether the page actually gets organic traffic itself, not just DR. also check if it's part of real content or just shoved in a random listicle, context matters way more than the metric

I judge backlinks by relevance, real referral traffic, contextual placement, and whether the linking site attracts genuine users.

I’ll also look at the page where my link would sit and whether it makes sense. If a DR 70 site has no real traffic and every article is clearly built to sell links the DR doesn’t mean much to me.
