Yes, that is true. However, no one can rule out a change in color in the future. Just like the the banned members color was changed for obvious reasons, the Jr. VIP could change too if events demand it

Not gonna lie, that purple is lovely. It's unfortunate that you've got to become an Administrator to get it.But why stop at just the username? You could change your avatar to match it.
If you're serious about this, you can open a poll in the forum suggestions and feedback section. It might be too close to premium membership though, so unless we swap the two around (which I don't think anyone would go for), I can't personally see it happening.
@WilhelmScream suggested it as a joke; they didn't want to actually change it to pink.

dam you brutally crushed my plans to ask for a colour change since I don’t want to change name, but definitely would like to try the purple colour, but dam can’t make a request now
