Hello everyone,

Long time lurker.

Starting the Youtube shorts partner program. It's in faceless gaming targeted niche. I fear that if I don't document journey somewhere I will not commit to it and will stop it halfway.

GOAL: Get accepted in partner program and start earning over ads.

Both accounts are fresh. Will commit to uploading one, two videos per day. The journey will be running till the end of January 2025.
Updates will be happening every Sunday.

If anyone has more ideas in the monetization down the road, I'm open to suggestions.

Good luck with your journey! Documenting it is a great idea for extra motivation.

Will your gaming videos focus more on the funny side or the pro side?

More on the funny side, I'm far away from the pro...
 
For monetization, once you build some traction, you could look into affiliate marketing, maybe gaming gear or in-game content that aligns with your niche. Also, sponsored content can be huge once you grow your audience. Best of luck with the journey, and I’ll be following along for updates
 
I was not aware that such a program even existed. Is it open to all countries or only USA?

Hmm nice idea for sponsored content, any ideas on affiliate marketing? Any networks or once/if the account grows to check it?

It's the classic monetization program, I think it's called Partner Program.

Depends on the views and CPM/RPM
 
[UPDATE]

So I've uploaded 6 shorts in total (not counting todays). Here are the results:

6 shorts got me in total 8201 Views:
1st short got majority of views = 8185 views,
2nd short got me 8 views,
3,4,5 and 6th short got me each 2 views.

Subscriber count: 6

All 6 shorts and 7th todays are of the same format. I'm not sure why this is happening? Why such a drop, if anyone can help me figure it out, it would be much obliged.

I'm obviously not happy with the results, I've expected more views considering that first short went on to have 8k views.

I will continue posting for another week and see how it goes.
If it continues for future shorts to stay at under 10 views I will probably stop the journey.
 
[UPDATE]

Seems like my fears are true, Youtube account is receiving 0 views per video.
I uploaded same videos to another channel that has 3.5k subs and am averaging over 2k views, so it's not videos...

On another hand, I started uploading same shorts to TikTok and I am averaging around 15k views per video.

I will continue uploading on Tiktok and will archive Youtube channel.

Thanks for keeping up with this journey

Yeah, I quit the YT journey, I'm not receiving almost any views. I turned to TikTok and it has been going solid, averaging 1-5k views per video.

One went viral and got 200k views. So I will probably keep it on TikTok, and might even turn to Instagram and/or X.
