So, a bit of an update for my last journey to start things off. Long story short, it got deleted, and the only thing I can think of is that I was running a competition and the amount of comments got it flagged or something, I don't really know.

Anyway, this time I am not gonna do anything but upload content and see what happens.

So, I am mainly focusing on shorts for this channel, since they take way less time to make, and then work on my long form content in another channel. Not sure if that is the way to go, but shorts only for now and if anyone has advice on whether they should be in with the same channel or not, please feel free to let me know.

I will promote the videos somewhat on occasion, but mostly just gonna let YouTube do it's thing. This is only after 1 video that sort of popped off just a bit, and there are 2 videos on the channel currently.

I'm not sure how many shorts to upload, as they are my own creations, and I don't want to do too many, so for now 1 a day to see how it goes. I found that one of the things I love is horror related content so that's what I'm doing. It's fun to make, I enjoy it, and it's not focused on making money, though of course that would be nice. With Shorts being able to be monetized in the next year, I may even focus only on short form.

Also, I heard that you shouldn't upload the shorts to TikTok and Instagram as well, so I wonder if that's true. Maybe Shorts first and then the others, IDK will have to experiment with that.

If anyone has any suggestions for how to find content, I am all ears. As well as any tips would be appreciated as well, but for now, let's see how it goes.

You should do both long form content and shorts on the same channel, it helps to boost the channel growth.

I've heard mixed things about this though, like the people that sub for shorts won't necessarily wanna watch longer ones, and it hurts the channel.

Yes, but you have to test with your niche. The results varies for different niches.

Update: So, it's been a few days, and only missing one daily upload, this is the channel so far:

Doing better than other channels I've tested in the same time frame, so I'm happy with that. Gonna test long form videos, got one in production now, so we'll see how that goes when I finish it.

Where the traffic came from:

What type of conpetition you were running ?
One that offered something my niche would be interested in, as for platform it was Gleam. I don't see why offering an incentive for people to comment and watch videos is deemed as bad by YouTube.

Update: Okay, still working on two long form videos, which are taking a bit longer than expected, but til then here's an update on the channel is doing so far.

So it seems I am making some progress with the channel, still horror and creepy facts themed, but yeah I am happy with how it's going. Hopefully it continues on this path a bit more and doesn't explode before I have a ton of videos on there but we'll see.

i am also doing same technic work fine for me its really helpful for me for grow more audience

Well I am focusing on content first and monetization after, not sure yet how to monetize it aside from with offers for any niche which is a possibility.
