good advice. much better to take your time but make a quality site. I want to make a long term income stream rather than a churn and burn site.

I have written some articles. Now I am going to leave then for a couple of days so I can go back to them. I find that when I write something I think its amazing but the second time I have to do a load of edits and I realise the quality is crap.

I will continue to edit- wait - revisit till I can no longer add anything of value. When there is nothing else that can be added then I will post it on my site.

During the periods of waiting I am going to work on new articles so I am always working.

My aims at the moment is to focus on quality. so I don't want to produce rubbish just to get the site up.

Goals

Get high quality articles written and up on the site.
make a list of more keywords to base my articles around.
find usable images for the articles

outsourcing

I have money to invest in this so I am thinking about outsourcing the articles. I have bought articles before and the quality has been between terrible to below average. In the end I had to rewrite the articles anyway.

if anyone knows any good article writers they have used let me know its appreciated.

This is really simple actually :

** how are you going to monetize the Site
** can you rank in the Top 5 for the Keywords you want to rank for

If you can do both of those then $300 a day is pretty easy ... but fail in either one then you will be earning $5 a day and barely making any money.

Also once you decide on the monetization you got to research everything - see what visitors like and don't like - then scale it into other similar Sites ... Long Term Income means your going to need 3-10 Sites to ride out any issues that 1-2 run into with Google.

that is the thing isn't it -- everything you do you have to learn from ... if you read all the journey threads some people figure it out and others just get lost.

when I started in Amazon there was almost no information on BHW on how to do it and what sort of keywords/traffic you needed to make money with it -- but I figured it out on my own and it became one of my favorite sources of income.

same goes for you -- you can read every thread - take notes and make short cuts -- so that you can make money faster than what I ever could... also you can learn from the mistakes I made using other types of Sites besides WP ... WP + Nice Theme + Organized + Good Keywords + Good Content-Images-Buttons-Favicon-Nice Logo = Money in the Bank

finally if one Site doesn't perform how you like it -- big deal do better on the next one -- when you do get a good site - scale it fast -- hot niches/content make every cent from it you can while you can -- that money can pay for future projects.

If at any stage you get lost - don't sit there looking at the screen - search your keywords - look at other Sites - see what they are doing and what they aren't and get ideas from that -- if your in Amazon - look at other Amazon Sites - learn from everything -- and you will develop the skills you need really fast.

Thank you. I didn't buy the new keyword I found it myself and I think I have hit a gem. I am offering a solution to a problem and the solution is to purchase different products. The products have to be bought together as its unlikely you will have one without the other.

I also have a load of other related products to push and I think that a lot of people are going to buy them too.

Today I have written 1k words on my new niche and have researched the best products and other titles for the posts. Tomorrow I am going to finish the article by adding the amazon links and adding the pics and generally making it look nice. I am also going to look for a nice theme.

The youtube videos are crap so I am going to make a top quality one myself and point it to my site. even if I don't rank on google I will get a good amount of traffic for this project. Then if I manage to rank on google omg I can only imagine what id get for a 22k keyword

if one in 20 people buy my product its 550 buys a month (assuming 11k site visits a month)

at an average of $50 and an average commission of 7%

monthly earning would be $1925

For the moment the original projects are on hold till this is up and running

Last post of 2014

Have been busy the last 2 days with my non online job.

I went to a chip shop today and they had inspirational quotes all over the walls. One really caught my eye

"I don't fear activity, only inactivity"

It is better to try something and fail at it then not try anything. I am not afraid of failing. For me I will try new things until I find something that works for me.

I have been reading this forum for ages and I haven't really done much. There was too much information for me and it was information overload where I couldn't think on anything.

Now I am trying what I think is right for me and if I fail then I move on to something else.

Tomorrow it is the first of Jan 2015. This time last year I was making a list of all the things I was going to do. Nothing got done because I kept "researching" and finding excuses.

My only goal, not just for 2015 but forever is to take action rather than just think about taking action. Thinking is good up to a point but then you just convince yourself its a crap idea and spend ages reading and nothing gets done. If I worked on what I thought was good then I would be better of then just reading and doing nothing.

I hope everyone looks back on 2014 and reflects on it. What was good? What was bad? What can I learn from the bad?

This is my last post of the year and I have titled it last post of 2014. When I start making money I want someone to remind me about this post. As of now my online income has been $0.

Have I spent a lot of time on internet marketing- Yes but time doesn't equal hard work. Be effective and don't just spend time for the sake of spending time.

ive been really busy with my offline job so I haven't done anything with internet marketing for a while.

I have researched some domains and I think I have another niche. quite honestly I just need to focus. my mind races and I cant concentrate. I get new ideas all the time and I think they are way better than my old ideas. I have bought yet another domain name. around 7pounds it has cost me. like the others that I have I think its great lol.

I don't want to update this thread with useless things so that's why I haven't posted in a while. just because I don't post doesn't mean I have given up. this is long term

the place I am staying at has given me 6months min to leave. I have got 20k as a deposit and I want to buy a flat. Because I am self employed it is hard to get a mortgage so my dad will get one in his name and I just pay the mortgage. This is the motivation that I need. I think I will be working on my 550 exact search domain name site next week. I think it will be the first to rank and adsense pays well on that. the name is very generic to my niche so I can rank for other words. but if you type my domain name into keyword planner the exact word is searched 550 times a month.

my goal is to simply focus on this for next week . I just want to do one thing at a time and stop going all over the place.

I still have content that I wrote from when I started so I am half way there. This time im going to get this project finished without getting sidetracked.
