JOURNEY TO CREATE AN AUTHORITY SITE WITHIN ONE YEAR


Greetings BHW Members,

I have been a member of this community for many months now .. Not taking action but reading posts all these days ..
Its time I start taking action ..

AIM :
To make the site a single source of knowledge in this niche.
The plan is to build an authority site within an YEAR .. Yes a long but focused journey ..

PLAN :

Dripped high quality content(3/4 per week). Few articles will be out sources. Others will be written by me.
Interlinking with in the site.
Social presence.
Authority out-linking.
Smart buffer sites ( Courtesy : Leith ).
Slow but aggressive direct linking to home page.

EXECUTION :

I have already got a new domain (NON EMD).
Will design a site with decent structure ..
Unique images for every post(min 2).

MONETISATION :

We shall decide them down the lane. After a few months. Atleast to meet up with the expenses.

END RESULT :

The end result is traffic i.e. 20,000 unique visitors in a month.
High DA/PA ==> Around 50 .



WEEKLY update on traffic.
MONTHLY update on PA/DA.

CURRENT STATUS OF THE SITE :

I have drilled down to a total of 13 categories for the blog

The site is already got general articles posted, a month back .. not targeting any keywords .. The articles are mostly be like What is <category-name> .. The site is about 3 months old ..

The current DA/PA of the site is -- 20/33.

I am getting around 10 visitors/day to the site now .. Most of them through images .. The site got about 10,000 impressions, 90 % images in the last month ..

The next step will be to tweak the site for better usability .. Cos I felt like I don't want the user to close the site when he comes to the site even if it is ranked in Google .. I will complete the tweaking in a few days and show it to one of the respected member for the approval ..

After that will start posting articles .. Easy to rank and helpful articles ..

THE WHOLE POINT IS TO MAKE THE SITE A HUB OF CONTENT SUCH THAT HE BOOKMARKS THE SITE AND GETS BACK LATER FOR ANY REFERENCE .. Hopefully will make it happen one day ..

Sorry for not updating guys. Got a little busy with my day job.

The site is got 20 unique articles now. Few of them indexed.

It would be great if reputed member reviews my site for any issues ..

I am getting about 10 to 25 odd visitors each day .. Alexa rank less than 500,000 ..

Will start link building after reaching 35 to 40 articles ..

I am still a bit new but willing to review for you, have some experience in web devand good content/page layouts and have been reading everything I possibly can for over a year here. If you'd like a good review shoot me a PM otherwise good luck, I'm interested in your future stats. Main things I'd look at would be page layout and whether too many keywords are being stuffed accidentally in each article (through links, tags, titles. alt text etc..). Also whether layout looks clean and natural and if pages/interlinking flow nicely together.
