you have no idea..
i used to sell this imported bag that priced at $230 each and surprisingly i got 8 sales, they even ask for a pre-ordering the bag.
got discontinued at that time because the custom issues taking so much time and i need to focus on my real job.
Which country are you talking about??
Yeah, for newbie and small time players like me. It is better to buy from local importer rather than directly import. Less hassle and more time to focus in gaining customers. Once I have a big enough audience or clients list, it is time to up the game and become wholesaler importer

i am indonesian as well and my market is indonesian.
yea, importing from overseas, especially USA is quite time consuming.
the custom seems to have different treat with package from USA.
note : the bag i used to import is from USA, it's called timbuk2, and we talking about importing the timbuk2 before they have a rep here in indonesia

try to use instagram ads, remember instagram. don't waste your money on facebook.
believe i've used to work with facebook ads, but now if your commodity is fashion goods, it won't work well on facebook ads.
assess your market with 50k IDR per day for couple days, send it to your instagram profile, and make sure your contact person is on the bio or every post.
make sure to target the one around you first.

Hello Everyone, it has been quite some time since I last update. Oh well I am kind of bored. But don't worry, I plan to publish my monthly sales statisitics along with profit estimation for everyone to see.
Anyway, the reason why I post today is because I plan to make major change to my strategy. You see, so far I rely on my extended family to get goods at heavily discounted price, which is of course cannot be scaled to outside supplier. So, right now I have two path to grows. First, I upgrade myself to wholesaler level, taking risk of stockpiling goods in exchange for higher profit margin. Or second, I increase the prices of goods sold in my online stores so that I can sell more variety of products from suppliers outside my extended family.
And frankly speaking, one thing that differentiate me with other dropshipper is that I know programming while others do not so I am going to take second path now. I have expertise in scraping products and uploading them in bulk. I am going to increase my fashion price by 0%-20% therefore allowing me to sell more variety of products.
