Journey To Black Friday & December

Hi,

My name is Brannan and i'm currently running a successful brand within the fashion industry. Today i've decided to create a new website with 1 product together with my partner. I'm starting this new website with intention of earning some extra cash alongside my already established brand.

I will atleast be posting weekly updates of what i have done and what i have earned so far etc..

My MAIN goal for this new website is to sell products for 10.000$ on Black Friday (November 25th.) This means i will have to sell 500 pieces on Black Friday. So i will price my product at 20$ which is slightly over my competition but i dont charge for shipping and my website will be very informative.

What ive done today: (14.09.2016)

Found A Domain
Started A Shopify Store ( I like shopify ).
Found A Theme for my store.
Created almost all pages that is needed for the website.(Frontpage, Product Page, Shipping Page, Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, How To, Before & After, Faq, About Us, Contact Us).
All pages are not done but i finish them (15.09.2016)
I will also launch the product today, which means me and my partner will have came up with an idea and executed it within 2 days with very hard work.
We will buy in 100pcs of the product to start with, dropshipping takes to long and one of the main reason for customer to use us is delivery time and price.

Goal for the weekend: Sell 25 pcs! (Friday, Saturday & Sunday).

Update No. 2 ( 15.09.2016 )

Finished the website a couple of hours ago and we got our first sale! Wooho! Goal was to get started before Friday so we accomplished that. We will get customers through the following media:

Instagram ( Main Source Of Traffic )
Facebook ( Ads )
Pinterest
Tumblr
Adwords
Bing Ads
Google ( eventually from good SEO )

If we are able to rank 1st on the keywords that are popular for this product we will do really well but this is for future plans. The keywords have in total 35.000 Searches per month and the competition is Medium/High.

At start we will just get traffic from social media and ads, then we will use the funds we earn on SEO to try and get high ranked.

Very pleased with getting the first sale within just a few hours.

We are in on a big engagement group for instagram whom are doing likes for likes almost 24/7 so we already have the 3 first posts we posted on instagram on explore page and expect to gain alot of followers the next couple of days, and as im writing this we got our secound sale! WOOHO!

Next mission is to start translating the page to different languages, i will start with my own language ( Norwegian ) and after that it will be Deutsch. Hopefully done by Sunday with these two languages.

I worked really hard and managed to translate the site to Norwegian so im really happy about that. Currently got 200 Followers on Instagram and about 300 visitors in total. ( 1% conversion rate at the moment ). One of the videos we posted on instagram already has 30K views ( Explore Page ftw ).

Short Sales Update:

Sales are going great! We put together a new video ffrom youtube that has never been seen before and it has gone viral on instagram, so far 117K views and about 300 comments.

So far today:
909 Visitors
15 Sales ( 300 USD & 1.65% Conversion Rate ).

Our first goal was to get 25 Sales this weekend but it looks like we are going to manage that today ( Friday ). So we have expanded our goal to 50 sales this weekend. This gives us much more budget to spend on adwords and facebook ads.

Total Sales: 18 ( 360 USD ).

Pretty happy seeing as this is the first two days and we only spent two days putting everything together.

I will work on making our About Us, Faq, shipping pages a little more detailed to make sure the customers has no reason to NOT buy. Which will hopefully increase conversion rate a little.

Update (16.09.2016)

Very happy about the response to the product we decided on so far! This product was very popular a year or two ago and we are hoping that it goes back in fashion soon which is why we decided to try and create a website that focuses solely on this product.

Sunday Update ( 18.09.2016 )

So the weekend is over where i live and im posting my update for the weekend. As some of you might remember our first goal was to sell 25 pieces our very first weekend. Since we sold 25 on friday we had to up our goal to 50 sales this weekend.

Good news! We ended up getting 65 sales! Clearly we have found a product that fits our method. This is not a new kind of product and people have been selling it for 2 years. However there are almost no one selling it on instagram which is the reason for our success. We have used and engagement method on instagram to get our posts on the explore page, and we have put together a couple of funny videos.

The instagram stats for this weekend is:

Best Post Currently Have: 376K Views - 820 Comments - 16,3K likes

So this is the reason for the high amount of traffic in this short time. ( See Below ).
Earlier i wrote that we would get traffic from serveral places, including from facebook and adwords ads, this hasn't really worked out and none of my methods have been a success, so for now im stopping this and we will stick to our method on instagram.

This is only a side business ( We now have two different webshops ). We are planning to start a third one but that will be in atleast 1 month.
We are always looking for products that might be sucessfull. Everything we earn after all costs from our side business, will go into our main business so that we can do even better there.

Sunday Update ( 25.09.2016 ).

So it's been over a week now, actually it's been 11 days since we started up this project and id say it's going great! In average we have sold for 255$ per day. I tried purchasing some reddit upvotes on a post, but so far i haven't gotten any result from it. Im new to it tho so i guess i just suck at reddit. Instagram is still the only place we are getting traffic, but we are still getting posts on popular page so we actually have a lot of visitors in short time.
