Had a tool laying around that I use every now and then for mapping stuff out, was already working with Google services;

Asked ChatGPT about the Apps Script involved, brought that info to Claude, Claude mapped something out for me then I brought it to Deepseek to get Deepseek to bring things up to date.

Turned out it was pushing an older Gemini model through the Apps Script, I found a newer article in Google's AI Studio documentation pushing for Nano Banana configuration...

Dropped that bad boy in there now we see how we get on.

As of now we've got 3 sales, 2 five star reviews, and a swift get-away from some cease and desists; I didn't think how Google would feel about me pasting their name about the site.

I'm already working on an instructions manual, better functionality and more models based off of our Lord and Saviour @Dopious's suggestions of looking through here: https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/docs/image-generation

Much more to do, wish me luck!

Did you immediately start making sales on Gumroad without any form of promotion?

No mate, I shared it around to throw a bit of a boost at things - went a bit better than expected... Love you guys, already so much done since release of this silly goose!

I've gotten a website live, though under a Vercel provided domain to get a bit of something to show for it. Gonna get what I can done with it and then get a real site live with what has come in.

I've started creating graphics for socials, using the tool. I want to start again and start recording everything... Because that'd be cool as heck for the webz and the tubez.

I've pulled out a content editing version of this script and another for Reddit; the goal is to find a clean way to talk about the tool in subreddits like r/ArtificialIntelligence, r/Marketing, r/GoogleGeminiAI, etc., my Python script uses PRAW to find top subreddits by keyword, can wiggle in keyword variations and segment then feed to a script similar to the one we're selling to create things to talk about based on [topic] x [tool_info]

Have already had fun with this tool.

I may simplify that content creation script, lock it to Google services to create a sort of niche for the tool on my profile, to have a related product out - or try combine them...

So far, the community has managed with a free product:

Sales: 7
Views: 79
Total: $52.50

...and we're only just starting. :)

Good luck, mate. Does their API allow image generation from a free account? I think I will give it a try. The page you linked to has some pretty good generated images.
If it does then I'm getting billed for it dude, I'm testing that right now hahaha

Good luck with your journey
What will be the traffic source? Only Gumroad or are you promoting it on social media, SEO, etc?

Love that you’re iterating with new AI models instead of sticking to the old setup

Appreciate the nice comments, guys! We're expanding in every direction!

Have a look at the good, the bad, and I'll have to find a hilarious example of the ugly(I tried dodging Google's trademarks, now I'm being targetted by my own tool):

We had our first breakage too, about 15 minutes ago, I got an error to work off of while crafting the 7th of 10 on-topic graphics with Nano Banana for a PPC agency.

It's surprising how powerful Google's Apps Script's are!

Congratulations for first 3 sales and Best of luck for your journey, Do you have any plan to advertise online? If yes which platform you will use to run ads campaign?
Or everything will go organic?

All the best for the journey.
Thanks guys!

@LonelyPerson I'm planning to list on as many locations as possible, just getting links to marketplaces and directories as we speak

I'll be pushing traffic to this, have converted a few scripts from Python to jS to create related products and to have more to right about

More chances to convert! Have a good few gb's of Python scripts to go through and convert! :)

I'd love to pay for some advertising too in future.

Getting lost in using my own tool for my own projects, if I wasn't building an example I'd have all of these photo's edited, resized, and in a different format.

(the boys are blurry because I brute forced them in there, I'd be complaining if I was them)

We're still at 9 sales, about 120 views, but we're getting content out there for showing how many use cases someone without a design skill in them can benefit from!

I have programmatically and with a clean and consistent design, created product category and subcategory thumbnails for use on proper archiving designs... This tool will get hairy when people start seeing what's so cool about it!

Today without too much craziness, we've hit 167 views, 13 sales, 8 5 star reviews and shown about two more use cases.

I need to do some tinkering with saved copies of the product, I can turn a video into a video, and a video into a video, multiple times over with this bad boy...

I've got text + image to image just about configured; there's next to no tuning done on the product that's live at the minute - I'll happily push an email out with a link to an improved product once I get my ducks in a row here.

These videos being for the website, product page, YouTube, and reference of the tool

We're doing hot girl sh*t, I'm crafting stock product photos for a Nigerian food vendor shipping to the EU and the US as we speak!
