I've been meaning to start this journey for a while.

I've been learning about traffic quite extensively for a little while now, and it's time to put the theory into practice.

the goal of $7k/m works out to approximately $10k/m in AUD

everyone aims for 10k/m right? there's something about 5 figures that just seems so 'NEXT LEVEL'

Some points to begin with:

- Traffic will be sold on Udimi initially as it's the largest marketplace on the web
- traffic will be from a number of sources, but likely to be a combination of traffic from other vendors, my own email subscribers, funnel clicks from blogs
- No real regard will be given to list size in the short term
- Pricing will be low to begin with until I've earned a better reputation.

Short term goals:

- Setup seller profile on udimi
- create 'solo deal' (sponsored ad)
- survive and get out of udimi jail

for those that aren't aware, udimi restricts your account as a seller until you have 5+ sales and for the first month, before they release your funds.

This means that you'll have to manage your cash flow extremely well, because if you manage to get sales, you can be a few grand in the hole if you're getting traffic from paid sources.

I'll update this as regularly as I can.

wish me luck

Great journey you are undertaking, best luck on it. However, I'd love to know how solo ads work... I'm quite new to it and also, are you setting up an agency or you plan to run it as an individual?

This will be interesting as it's solo ads and I have heard they have faded down the years but let's see!

In simple terms, it's targeted traffic from various sources (email, websites, other solo ad vendors) that is sent to a persons landing page. The quality and amount of traffic is controlled via software like clickmagik or qliker

nah, they're still alive and well. I think it's just harder for newbies like me to get into the game now, as you need to be providing a quality service to people, but you're competing with lots of other already established sellers that have been around for years. I'm not expecting this to be easy lol

Update 1:

I've setup my seller profile. I realised that there seems to be a correlation between decent profile pics and sales.
Lots of sellers use shitty pics of them with their kids etc, and to my mind, this just seems rather unprofessional.

This seemed to have worked, as I had an order for 100 clicks over night.

Delivery of clicks has already been fulfilled, simply on an 'arbitrage' basis.

Normally traffic would be sent through my own funnel, and leads captured (incase you didn't know, this is how a lot of solo traffic works) but I'm purely interested in fulfilling orders and gaining a decent reputation for delivering good/fast traffic.... I can't afford any stuff ups at the moment, until there is more cash flow.

So here is the numbers:

100 clicks @ $0.44/click - $44

costs:

100 clicks @ $0.30 - $30

Udimi affiliate payment - $5.56
Udimi services fee - $4.12
Payment processor fee - $2.80

This leaves me with a profit of $1.52 LOL

Still profit, and a good start! Now, x 100 it.
Good luck buddy!

Subscribed to your journey.

Update 2:

Followed up with the purchaser and he was super happy, so one positive rating recieved... 4 to go

I've decided to build my website/blog around my solo ad services. It'll be a combination of wordpress/woocommerce to process new orders.

I'm doing this for a couple of reasons, firstly that i feel it contributes to my reputation, also most solo sellers have really shitty websites, so hopefully it will stand out a little more. The other reason i considered building my site is to hopefully do some SEO work on it to gain some organic traffic, both for sales and for traffic for future clients

Next steps:

  • Setup woocommerce with my traffic packages
  • Run a promoted ad on udimi
  • re-assess autoresponder situation
  • tweak the solo-ad funnel
  • Write sales copy
  • Make website prettier lol
On a side note, to anyone that needs to hear this, keep pushing no matter what you're working on.... before today, i couldn't be stuffed doing any extra work after hours, but since that sale came through, I feel absolutely on top of the world and ready to take on anything that come smy way. It's been a while since i've felt that way. It's truely amazing what earning a couple of dollars can do :)

Any update to this? I've purchased a lot of solos over the years but have never sold any. Interesting to see results if any?

I've been a bit slow (life getting in the way)... i'll have more updates shortly.

I'd be happy to answer any questions you have in the meantime

All the best bro

thank you my man

UPDATE:

It's been a while between updates (life getting in the way)

I've updated my profile on Udimi to be a little more attractive (i'm going to fill it with a bit more value, and maybe some other incentives for people to buy through me). An empty profile looks shit lol

I've just created a solo deal on Udimi as well (this is basically paid advertisements to appear at the top of the list)

I'm going to sit tight and see how this plays out and see how many orders come of it

I'm still needing 4 more positive reviews to get out of udimi jail so I can get paid

UPDATE:

spent $75 for a solo deal on Udimi (not sure how long this lasts) but it does get you some exposure.

results so far (a little under 24 hours) : 29 profile views and one sale for 200 clicks totalling $88

currently in the process of delivering clicks

I'm hoping for at least one more sale before my paid promotion is over, as i'm still in newbie jail and funds aren't available until 5 positive ratings have been recieved.

UPDATE:

My paid promotion has slipped out of the top15 (and apparently this makes my listing less visible)

Despite this, I have received another sale for 100 clicks ($44)

still needing 3 more positive rating to get paid, and i'm hoping this is the third.

now, lets talk numbers so far.

total sales - $176

Costs

Udimi service fees - $12.44
udimi processor fee- $10.45
Udimi affiliate commissions - $22.34
SOLO ad deal (paid listing) - $75

At present i'm buying clicks to fullfill these orders, so so there is no fuckups on my part, nor will i burn my existings lists with salesy emails that simply get them to click.

it's simply about providing high quality traffic, with over delivery as fast as possible.

Once i'm past this initial stage where my funds are locked up, i should be able to see some further growth at a much faster rate.

Forgot this existed anymore.
Journey seems on the right track, so you're going to make it if you keep on going.
Best of luck op.
