    Hi

So why this journey? Basicly because I am so damn tierd of black hat. Banned social media accounts and never the "long term passive income" I was hoping for. So time for me to accept that I did'nt make it, get a job and trying to start up my own business.

So why this goal? Because this would allow me to earn above average in my country after taxes.

How long will it take to reach the goal? I have no problem if this takes many years.

So how will I succeed with this? Actully I have no idea at all! I mean I know alot I have been making websites for myself for almost 13 years. I have been studying basic webdevelopment for 1 year and am currently studying 3 years of advanced Webdevelopment. So far this is what I know/can do:

    HTML5
    CSS3
    PHP
    JavaScript
    jQuery
    jQuery Mobile
    AngularJS
Wordpress (Including custom post types, themes, child themes, shortcodes, plugins and widgets)

So I quess my problem will be to find and get clients. And thats easier said then done since I am currently in a country that is not my home country (I am in Asia at the moment)

So what I will do today?

I will start today by sending my CV to a guy that maybe will offer me job for 10$/hour. Thats alot less then I would get to do the same work in my home country. But hey, this is Asia and you need to start somewhere!

If you know this much, why don't you sell your services online? You will earn more and the work you will be doing won't be blackhat. Try to get this job, and setup an online business as well. You can create banners and posters and distribute them in your city along with your website to gain some clients. There area lot of ways you can make this work, and it doesn't necessarily mean that it has to be blackhat. A lot of reputed members here have Whitehat business setups because Blackhat is good for a short run, but in the long run whitehat beats it. :)

Thanks! The thing is, Im in Thailand and I dont speak the language, and most of people here dont speak english. I also pretty much got 0$ for startup. And yes, this is not supposed to be black hat. This is white hat (even if I can to BH for BH-clients). As I see it there only is one problem I am facing - TO GET CLIENTS.

So any ideas how to find clients online will be good :) Once I get back to my home country (need to make some $$$ first so I can afford taxes) then I also can do offline-marketing since I then know "my way around the cities" at home. :)

If I hade atleast a few bucks then the first I would do, would be to get a marketplace thread here at BHW. But hopefulle I get there :)

I think a lot of us have been where you are journey wise and it's great that you are planning for future income methods while working on a steady income for your immediate needs. Fiverr is a good (and in my opinion safe) place to market some of your skills. If you are just starting out with the site it can be hard to make even what I would consider a part time income.

Once you get feedback though and can start charging more for gig extras it is a good way to earn extra money while building up a portfolio. Also consider teaming up with someone who could bring you work. I know it sucks to have to pay someone a referral fee but 60% of something is better than 100% of nothing.

Yeah, I will give fiverr a shoot, but I dont hope too much. Tried it once before but only got 1 gig in 6 month, the competition is so hard now adays...

Also do someone know any good freelancing sites? Tried freelancing.com befor but it is totaly dominated by auto posting bots from India. And pretty much impossible to win any jobs. So do anyone know any similar sites, that got for quality and is less spammed by auto posters?

    EDIT:

    DONE SO FAR:

    - Register at UpWork/oDesk

    WILL DO:

    - Write CV
    - Send CV

Don't take what I am about to say as an offense, but rather as advice and constructive criticism:

    1. Always set a time frame for your goals - you don't need years to be successful in a business. That being said, be realistic as well - it won't be overnight, but certainly not years if you keep working and you don't give up. Also remember, you only live once!
    2. Always have a plan before you start something - by saying that you have no idea, you have already failed sorry. Make a detailed plan on how you will accomplish each business process you will have, such as getting clients, getting work done, resources you need, etc...
    3. I didn't quite get from your thread if you want to be a freelancer or you want to sell websites to businesses. If you want to be a freelancer, then you have quite an impressive skill set. If you want to sell websites to businesses, you need to either hire salesman or be one yourself. Sales comes first, then design.

I think you just need a donor subscription for that. If you are asking to to put in another's sig, then you'll need to hire them and pay them monthly for the space.

You need to learn what you want to do or know how to do is different than from what is making money right now. Head on over to YouTube and start learning some basics of the language (I'm ignorant myself on this). The opportunities in Thailand would be residential and commercial development, which in return would have to be $$$ to attract business and create localized economies. Business itself does not play by white hat or black hat, its either gold hat (rich who more than likely are black hats) or no hat (poverty has no hat).

What would help earn you money on the side? Businesses are flush with money, but since you have a language gap you aren't able to suck them up just yet. A job for your basics would suffice, then you'll be able to work on skills more adaptable for the market. Your knowledge of social media spam could come in handy if you were doing this for a legit non cpa non ppd type model. Think of why pewdiepie has so many looking at his videos, its because hes dumb, entertaining, and sincere about his work.

    Thanks for your advice guys!

    1. I know a timeframe is VERY important. End I will give every task a timeframe. But at the moment it is to early to set a timefram for the whole project since I am almost completly out of money I first need to put my focus on finding a other work before I can focus at this journey. So this is a really early in my Journey (Before all the planning starts).

    2. Maybe it was wrong to say I have no idea, because I do have alot of ideas to make this work. But I have not put this in to a solid plan yet. Since as I said need to put my focus on getting a Income.

    3. About freelancer or selling website. I quess I will be freelancing until I get back home. Then start to sell websites.

    4. Did'nt know I needed to be a donor to have a signature but as I said I will for sure invest some here on BHW as soon as I have somethin to invest.

    UPDATE:

First of all I will need to get a stable income so I can afford my living. To manage this I will have to find a employer I can work for.
My plan for that is following:

    - Write 4 different CV's and personal letters that is adjusted for Web, Industry, Inventory and over all.
    - Registrer my CV at employment agencies.
    - Send CV to previous employers
    - Ask friends for work
    - Send my CV to thinkable future employers.
