First question: I don't really know, the problem is that you would have to also learn many other things that are not necessarily "programming", for example HTTP protocol and stuff. If I had to make an estimate, starting from 0 knowledge, it would take quite a long time, and I mean several months; but it depends on a lot of thigs (how much time do you study, how good you are, etc..). I also tried to help a lot of my friends that wanted to start programming but they gave up at the first difficulties so that's why I think it would require so much time, but maybe it's different if you're really determined. If you want to start this journey I would suggest you to start with an "easy" language like Ruby or Python. They are not easy per se (their underlying basic structure is the same, or similar, as any other programming language) but it's way easier to code complicated stuff in a short time compared to other languages like Java or C++.
Second question: Since my bot doesn't really do anything special I think you can find similar bots online. I saw many on BHW but never tried, but their features looked similar to mine. Except they also have a GUI, which I don't need cause I just use it from the shell.

So, two of my accounts got banned, but they were small ones with less than 100 followers; I just created two new ones and everything is ok. Earnings are like 0.20$/day, need to scale it up!

I'm starting to realize this Tumblr method will require quite a lot of time to see the first real cash, and I pretty much run it automated so I still have a lot of free time to do other things. That's why I want to start applying a new method too, which I'm trying to choose right now. What I have is: a couple accounts at CPA networks, an Adsense account and an Amazon Partner account. Right now I was thinking about:
* website with Adsense/Amazon affiliates: I have no experience in this kind of sites, I'll have to learn how to properly choose a niche to make money with Amazon and so on... but I'll have no technical problems in creating/customizing the site.
* some CPA method: CPA was the first method I use to make money, but I'll have to think which method exactly to go for. I used to drive traffic from Facebook using viral scripts but that's way harder now than it was 3 years ago.
These are the two main options I'm thinking about right now. I'm also thinking about something that can be possibly automated, as I can write my own software and minimize the amount of work I have to do. If anybody has any suggestion, hint, or whatever you're welcome!

I've not been updating this thread cause there's not much to say lately. I've been earning around 0.20$ per day:
(just posting for future reference)
but visits to the websites are going up, and slowly but steadily, earnings as well. When I'll hit 1$/day that will be a major breakthrough I still didn't start monetizing the non-adult blogs, since I'll have to set up some Adsense sites but I'm really noob about that and don't know where to start exactly (not sure if Adsense is even the best way), so I'm waiting for my blogs to get more followers. I've got a total of ~7k followers scattered over 17 blogs, with the biggest blog with 1.3k followers.
Just so I don't forget I'm going to write my long term goals with deadlines in this post, and I'll update this threads like weekly or so to see where I'm at.

UPDATE
I didn't like the Wordpress site I was redirecting traffic to, so I created a new and simpler website without wordpress; the template looks like Pinterest but users can just view the pictures and that's it. Some of the pictures are actually Plugrush ads so I think this should improve CTR maybe. I'm getting about 300 UV and 0.3$ per day, but they are increasing steadily so I'm confident that when I create more blogs the traffic is gonna increase even more. I didn't really have time to create new accounts these last days so I just have 2 more than the last update. The follower count though has more than doubled since I'm at ~15k.
I decided that for now I'm gonna focus on monetizing adult blogs only, I'll still grow some SFW blogs but I'll think about monetizing them later when they have a good amount of followers since I'll have to setup Adsense websites and other stuff which is pointless to do now.

I'm sorry but as of now I don't plan on releasing the bot for several reason, the main one being that it's really impossible to use to anyone who doesn't have a pretty good Ruby knowledge, as many things still require editing the code directly to work and I don't have time to provide support. But I believe there are many Tumblr bots available for sale on BHW so you should take a look there.

It's me again. Yesterday I amost had my first 1$ day with 0.96$. I have to say that things are going quite nicely, I gained about 10k followers this week (among all my accounts) and I'm at 26k followers total. I'm creating all of these accounts manually, and this resulted to be quite boring actually, so I'm considering buying some piece of software to create accounts fast or just make it myself. I don't know if accounts created automatically are more prone to be banneed my Tumblr, though. Anyone has any experience? Tumblr hasn't banned any of my blogs recently, just 2 some weeks ago, and I don't know if this banning rate would increase if I create accounts automatically. Anyway, I'm estimating that if I keep creating more accounts and they keep growing this way (and few bans), I should probably hit ~10$/day in mid November and that would be very good!

Also, how do you do this? Proxys? If it is manual... cant u just make all the accounts on 1 day? Then automate them all?
Do you keep your computer on all day? Your bot can do multiple things at once? Or you have multiple computers?

Yes, it's one account = 1 blog (you can create more than one blog per account, but with your "secondary" blogs you can't follow people). I was creating them manually, now I've bought some accounts, but even if they are already registered I have to set them up (profile pic, changing username, etc...). Other than this, I usually try to find unique content for each blog, that means I have to scrape like 1k pics from other blogs for each new account I make, this requires at least 1 hour basically with my shitty connection.
Yes, I use proxies. I just can't set them all up in one day for that reason, besides this, I'm very lazy and busy with university and stuff so I'm just managing to create like 2-3 accouns per day.
My bot goes through all of the accounts and does a full round of actions for each of them (if the queue has less than 150 posts it uploads 100 pictures, then follows other users and then reblogs stuff). This takes more time when multiple accouns have to upload stuff, but basically I leave my computer open almost 24/7, later I'll transfer everything to a VPS.
But yes, partially you're right, if I was more focused I'd reach 100 blogs way faster (still not in one day).

e.g. twitter, you will get more traffic, DO NOT use CPC(Plugrush) only, try some CPAs(chaturbate or Crakrevenue) .
Personally, I have 500 tumblr accounts and 1000 twitter accounts(all bought from bhw), use xTumblebot and FollowLiker to make all things autopilot, all traffic is redirected to my money sites(4 niche sites).
