DAY 1

I am new to playing the IM game but have been watching for a while.
Love this community. Making this journal for accountability and to share some of the money making strategies I use.

Enough of the jibber jabber, let me break down where I am at currently:

Adsense:
Niche Sites: 1
Monthly ETD: $9.08

Clickbank:
Videos: 9
Monthly ETD: $0.00

Amazon Associates:
Monthly ETD: $36.98

Squidoo:
Monthly ETD: $100.00

Current May Total: $146.06
Monthly Goal: $1500
Difference: $1353.94

Open to answering any questions about where the earnings are coming from if you so wish :)

Now to make this post somewhat useful to everyone, I will talk about my current Squidoo Earnings.
If you learn the Squidoo ranking system, you will find that Squidoo captures all the adsense money and then gives 50% of it away to lens creators based on lensrank.
I have about 400 lenses on Squidoo that make about $100 in ad money every month all together.

The Amazon Associates revenue also comes from my Squidoo lenses.
Many of them are made just to promote products.

So why use Squidoo and not my own website?
Upside:
It's extremely easy to rank a Squidoo lens.
Since Google loves Squidoo, just creating one will get you on page 2-4.
Then you can blast it with bookmarks to rank it up. (something you can't really do with a normal website)

Downside:
You don't neccessarily own the property, so I could get shut down at any time.

Good for you to share, but this is not your "Day 1", as you already got 400 lenses?

How long does it take you for the 400 lenses?

Yes, technically you are right. But I'd like to be able to follow a daily schedule on the thread and had to start somewhere :D
I did about 100 on my own and then hired a virtual assistant to do 300 more over the past 2 months.

About 10 have been optimized in a minor way.
HUGE money to be made if I can figure out how to optimize them all.

After clicking the product link, conversion rate is around 5%
 
DAY 2

I'm disgraced by today's earnings. Not one amazon affiliate sale came in from my massive amount of Squidoo Lenses.
They really need to be optimized. If anyone is up for the challenge, let me know and I'll sell some of them off low.
Just too many for me to optimize on my own.

My niche site experienced a huge dip in traffic, I spent time today bookmark blasting the link wheel I have around it and it brought it up a few places. I plan to continue to do that and hopefully increase my daily organic traffic.
(At only about 100 visitors/day, but #7 on a 5500 Exact Match Keyword)

Today I started two major improvements:
  • Created my first fiverr gig
  • Started the development of my own product
Hopefully these will start to pave my way to a better daily income.

DAY 3/4

Memorial Day fell on Day 3, so no work was done on that day.
Meaning a couple extra bucks of passive income fell in with the addition of day 4's income.

The biggest happening of Day 4 was my FIRST CLICKBANK SALE!
This really got me pumped for my potential and I hope to make more clickbank review videos in the near future.

Like stated in my last post, I created a fiverr gig and already got a sale!
Delivered the work, now just waiting for the feedback and payment to be released. (That is why it does not show up on the income yet)

Additionally, 2 days ago I read a post on here about how to succeed.
The advice given was to: Go on BHW, find a tactic, then copy it into a word document, close BHW, and don't consume any more information until you try that technique.

Today I did some youtube comment marketing to my clickbank products.
Seeing TONS of clicks, but not very many conversions. Will continue to do it in the upcoming days and report my findings.

DAY 5

Actually pretty proud of today's results.
Granted the higher adsense and amazon affiliate income was primarily luck. (just conversions through existing traffic)

But the clickbank sale was a result of the youtube technique I learned and started applying yesterday.
I am going to keep applying that daily and hopefully tweak it around to get higher conversions.
Had almost 100 clicks to my affiliate link, and only 1 conversion. Pretty good for non-targeted traffic.

Also experienced a lot of luck buying trackback gigs from fiverr on a web property.
So I bought one and pointed it to one of my clickbank review videos that is sitting on page 2 for a 22,000 Exact Keyword.
Hoping that it gives it the push to the first page. That would be... AMAZING. I'll report my findings.

I had few questions:

How much traffic do you get per day?
How much manual hours do you put here?

I am currently doing pinterest getting awesome number of visitors.

Just a taught to have them go to various websites or properties and extract money for me :)

For my niche site, I get about 80-100 visitors/day total.
All coming from organic search.
(adsense money comes from here)

For my squidoo lenses, they amass about 500/day.
This is where my amazon affiliate income comes from.
It's actually pitiful considering that I have HUNDREDS of them. I just don't have the time to optimize them all.

Everything that I have up right now takes zero time to maintain.
All passive income.

Though I am trying to invest hours to improve them and start new techniques.
If I stepped away from my computer, I'd make about $5/day with no work. (with spiratic jumps for clickbank sales)

I read your journal but I can't find any information on where do you get your clickbank earnings. I mean do you promote clickbank products in squidoo just like what you do to amazon products?

Ah yes, thank you for reminding me.

My clickbank earnings come from 2 sources.

Source #1: Youtube videos
I've created video reviews for clickbank products and ranked them in the search engine.
This is why you see "videos: 9" in my stats.
Only 1 sale has come from this method so far.

Source #2: Youtube Comments
This is the technique I started yesterday.
Promoting clickbank products through youtube comments and then liking them into the top comments.
So far 2 sales have come from this today. (only 1 reported in day 5's report because the second just came in now and will be on tomorrows)

Squidoo only promotes amazon products.
 
Hmm. Interesting. I've been experimenting with squidoo myself (and hubpages) with no luck. What type of products are you promoting on Squidoo?

Hey jayjaymoney, thanks for following my journal.

In my experience, it doesn't matter what type of products you promote but instead the search volume of them.
Squidoo ranks well in google, so target product names with 300+ Exact Local Monthly Searches.

That way you are getting targeted traffic of buyers looking for what you are selling. (Example: Spongebob Pencils)

Hey thanks for the answer. Anyway the comment with clickbank is new to me. I mean I do comment and buy likes to get on top comment promoting my website but not the product itself. Nice strategy you have there.

Exactly. It's kind of tedious, i know, but it is cool to see some sales come in.
Granted it is only my third day on the technique so there are lots of kinks to weed out as well.

If you are concerned with getting caught, just make another clickbank account to do it on.

If you do this directly with the affiliate links you will be ban from CB quickly, but if you create a simple landing page with your affiliate link for this method you will be risk free.

All manually right now. But heck... if there was a software that would make it all loads easier
