Hey BHW

day 1-

Just a quick intro, I'm an artist who barely makes money. I've always been pretty computer savvy- I type 80-100 WPM, can read very quickly and I can absorb info like a sponge. Yesterday I opened up my first shopify store after a few hours of site creation/grabbing products.

I actually almost had a few sales but my paypal was fucked up the first night lol. I completely changed my niche today and overran the site. I will probably end up changing the niche however. I'm currently bad at establishing ideas for what good niches are. Today I spent a lot of time browsing forums and using instagram as ways to find out what niches are being selected.

The one commonality between my store/engagement was that I gained ALOT more interaction and engagement through IG (as opposed to fb ads). FB ads are expensive after a while and I'm having horrible engagement through that lol.. damn.

Any successful Shopify store owners out there? Would love to discuss my site/some ideas. I have a pretty cool name for my site but I'm thinking that it's way too broad to be a niche store. please comment

where did you get your traffic mate? ig or fb?

mixture of both. I'm running FB ads which is DEFINITELY targeting the wrong audience, 385 Post reach, 5 engagement lol!!! Trial and error.

Hoping tomorrow sheds some light on this IG thang

Why bother going with a niche store. For all you know next week you might see a different product in a different niche and realize that that product would probably make you a killing.

I suggest making a general store so you can sell whatever products you want.

And what's with the poll. Shopify or instagram?? Those 2 serve different purposes. Shopify is your store, Instagram can be used to drive traffic. So what exactly is the poll?

Why not both?
Go with shopify and grow IG accouts at the same time.

My store is actually a general store! Cool. I was thinking that this would convolute having an IG page, etc. I'm still putting together 2+2 on building a network that will redirect traffic to this site etc.

The Shopify vs Instagram= traffic-->shop (This would include IG.. not sure how to promote a general store on IG without running into TONS of competition) or getting followers on IG, selling shoutouts/CPA.

The store is a general store instead of a niche. As of today, I have an IG account with the name of my shopify site, along with a few ads posted on IG. Shopify store has some products up (15, various niches) I don't know how the IG page will get followers when I'm currently just posting ads linked to 0.00+9.99 shipping xD

would this mean that I need to create multiple IG's pertaining to the different products on my site?

Well! Made 1 sale today.. Decent traffic, although I'm starting to understand why i'm not selling shit.

My FB page attached to my FB ad has 0 likes, brand new page lol. People probably aren't thinking it's legit.

Also came up with an idea for an invention that will probably be sellable. Got in contact w some manufacturers today. I love spending hours a day on a computer lol so maybe IM is going to be cool for me :)
