If you're working on web designs than i would suggest you to try envato to sell some of your themes as well.
It gives you a good income and would really help you in building your portfolio and you can always grab clients from open marketplaces likes theme forest,code canyon graphic river.

I don't like to rain on others peoples parade. But isn't your journey at little out of touch? Before any one jumps to the reply and flame button let me explain.

A journey is something you write on a given time to share your experience, what did work, what did not work. A journey for a web development doesn't fit quite right in. I mean, for starters:
1) The process is pretty much the same for everyone, so there is no variables that can make the outcome different in a radical way.
2) Web development at $1k daily is not bad and neither impossible, but is easier and more predictable to reach compare to let's say a new marketing effort.
3) You need to be more clear on your goals. You are happy with making $1k a day but be realistic. While I m not against big goals, you need to be realistic. $1k a day for development only on huge firms and their overhead is HUGE. When you are expecting to reacch this $1k a day? ASAP?

Many fail here to accomplish something because they lack business experience. They make a journey with a goal for daily income. Only poor people think on their daily earning.

Good luck, and hope my words inspire you to archive your goal not to discourage you. Take criticism as form to better yourself.

Poor people worry how much they make daily
low income worry on their weekly salary
medium income worries on the yearly income
rich people worry about 5-10 years income

This is as valid as any.

Considering there are a million "Youtube + PPD" journeys it's abit harsh to say this isn't a "new marketing effort"
