Journey to 1k/day passive

Going to keep this light (at least as first), as it's more for my benefit than anybody else's.

I'm a software developer working from home, working on continuing to increase my passive income.

Current passive income: ~$110/day
Goal by the end of August: $200/day

Today's Goals:
- Submit first ever app to Android store
- Experiment with the Admob ad network
- Experiment with Facebook sharing

Woah... your goal is impressive. 1k per day is a lot of money, but of course wish you best in your journey :)

Submitting my first Android app tonight! Just got some last minute testing of the in-app purchases to do.

Super excited to see download numbers as this same app has performed very well on iOS. Will keep you all updated.
 
Internet has opened so many doors that softwares developers can cash it in a big way. Find some internet marketing related problems and build software for the solution.

well , it's gonna take a lot of time to achieve your goal since 1k/day is not something that can be achieved over night but requires lots of hard work , patience and determination , I hope as the time flies , you will achieve your goal , Best of luck

First Android app on the store hasn't gone as well as I hoped. The same app on the Apple store did extremely well with zero marketing, but the Android store seems like a different beast altogether.

Biggest obstacle was that I was unable to get ranked in the top 250 for the keyword of my choice. This is something I found very easy on the Apple App Store, and once showing up in the search results I was able to climb the ranks very quickly due to the quality of the app.

Here's hoping it's only a matter of time before Google gives this app a chance in the search results.

I've got a lot of client work to finish up over the next 2-3 days (mostly web stuff), then it's straight back into the app business.

I have a whole new app almost ready to go on the Apple and Android stores, and then my biggest app ever coming in the next month or two. Exciting times!
 
Goodluck bro. The closest that i have seen on a colleague was $2k/week. Mind that android monetizes mainly on ads while ios store has users in the buying mode, if you wanna bank hard then try pushing a paid app. I came across on a blog post that IOS developers makes more money than android, could be wrong though.

Good luck on your journey. Too many "starting from 0$ to 20,000$ per month journey threads" that die a few days later here, too little actual earners that try to improve their earnings and take their journey seriously.
 
I wish you best of luck with the journey, Development is more hands in than people think. I believe play store would be alot harder to penetrate than most other OS for phones. alot more people have android than we think, allowing a flood of spam apps. but you will make it through ;)
 
OP please do keep updating your journey, as I am interested in seeing a thread that for once has the starter already earning online, and trying to increase their earnings, instead of starting from scratch like I see Nick appreciate as well.
