Journey.jpg

So here I am, back again with a new journey. I Have done two before this one, the first one was successful and the second one... well, moreless.

This post will be long since I like to write and the first post should be long and explain everything! But if you don't like to read, just go to the bottom and read the brief.

Background
In my first journey, I tried to work as a freelancer and get around $1000/month. It was not passive, I was working as a dev: coding apps, websites and whatever I could find.

I reached the goal in around 4 months, so I was really happy with it. Being a student (and of course, broke), that income was awesome. I was able to upgrade all my electronic things: bought a new computer (and later a Mac to be able to code iOS apps), a new phone and some travels...

But I was working a lot, every day I was working around 14-16 hours, not going out, not having a social life, not studying (remember, I was and I am a University student, so I have to!). Also, I lived with a lot of stress in that situation, it never was enough.

So I tried to expand it (second journey), creating a dev business and outsourcing part of the work and also tried to create an SEO agency since I had learned enough with my own sites to feel confident selling services.

But I was not able to create my outsourced dev business. Just because I was not able to find anyone who wanted to code apps and games with enough quality. So, I don't surrender in my search, but I am not going to focus on it.

And that is how the third journey starts.

So, what am I going to do on this journey?

I am going to focus on building passives. I have thought about focusing on these things:
  • Amazon Affiliate websites
  • Google Play apps
  • Bots
  • SEO Agency
  • Content Writing Agency
  • My SEO blog (and YouTube channel) (in English and Spanish)
  • My Coding blog (and YouTube channel) (in English and Spanish)
  • My personal blog ((and YouTube channel) (in English and Spanish)
I know, I know, it seems like a lot of work. Well, first, without hard work, you don't achieve big goals so I have to work hard. And second, all those projects are easy to outsource, for example, in my SEO blog, when I don't have time to write, I invite some other bloggers to write about so it is moreless passive.

Amazon Affiliate websites
I have created and managed some Amazon Affiliate websites from some clients, also I have read a lot of content on this forum so I feel confident about this. I have planned to create the first website before this month ends, and the next one at the end of the next month. I would like to have 5 different sites before the end of December, each one earning at least $10 per day (I need $334 per day if I want to have $10000 per month). Anyway, I will be talking about them with more detail when I will be working on it.

Google Play apps
I have been following several journeys here on the forum about it, they are amazing and I want to try it! I am a dev myself so reskin is not a problem for me. My main problem is about creating several Google Play accounts. I have thought about using several VPSs so I could have different"computers" to create completely unique Google Play accounts. But Amazon Web Services need a different credit card per account and also a new phone number (I want to use the free trial on each account since I just need the VPS to create the account, upload 3 apps and done. So I was looking for other companies offering a free trial (without a credit card) but for now, I haven't found anything. Also, I have thought about using a virtual machine but it is more dangerous since I have been banned previously and I don't want to leave any footprints. So, if you have any advice or you know anyway to do it, please share it!

Bots
I am a coder and I have plans for some accounts I want to automatize on some websites so I need bots. I could buy them but... I prefer to code them and then sell them as a way to earn some extra cash. Obviously, I can't say what bots I am going to do, but I will be updating when I have done them (and also I will upgrade then to Jr.VIP to be able to sell them here).

SEO Agency
I am finishing everything related to it. I have the plan about services, prices... I am finishing the website and I hope to have it finished before the end of this month. I have partnered with a friend, I provide the services, he earns a commission per client he brings. Right now he has 2 clients expecting to buy my services once I launch them, and at my side, I got another one. If this goes fine, it will be a really really good thing about the journey. In another post, I will talk in more detail about it, how I am doing it and how I plan to get clients.

Content Writing Agency
Meanwhile, I was coding on my first journey, I worked in a famous digital newspaper (on my country) as a writer so I have experience writing (and I love it!), also I have met a lot of other writers that could work on my agency. And if I have enough work, I plan to outsource part of the work to other sellers, sellers I have tested by myself and I know their services are awesome.

SEO, Coding and Personal Blogs (and YouTube accounts)
I will be honest, they were originally just hobby projects but I think if I am able to grow them and get enough fans, I will be able to monetize them, by selling courses, books, affiliates or redirecting to my other services (like SEO or content writing).
I am trying to publish every week enough content on those blogs and YouTube accounts, also I am doing it on two languages: English and Spanish; trying to engage and meet other bloggers about the same niche and in general, to build a brand. I think these are long-term projects since I don't think they will generate enough soon.

So these are my projects (well, for now, I will keep working on some freelancing projects, since 1) I have some clients, so I have to finish the work and 2) I need the money to pay the bills, I am a student but living by myself).

I am not going to update this journey everyday since I have tried it before and I know that not everyday I have something new to share, but I will update it every week with a resume of what I have done, how much I have earned (and how much I have spent).

So, to start with the journey:
Earned this month (for now): $0
Spent this month (for now): $0
Profit: $0

Bro, I’d love to hear what will be your daily schedule or how you will be handling so many projects? I have like 4-6 projects and I am struggling to handle all of them...

I wish you the best of luck! You are on the right track: PASSIVE INCOME

New update!
I know, I know, I said I was going to do weekly updates so I should do the next one in few days but.. why should I wait if I have things to share?

First at all, let's answer your questions!

Yes, let's try to do something awesome!

Bro, I’d love to hear what will be your daily schedule or how you will be handling so many projects? I have like 4-6 projects and I am struggling to handle all of them...
That is the most difficult part in my opinion. I will tell you a thing. Back a few months ago, I was receiving around 2-3 proposals to code something per day. Each one was from $500 to ... whatever. I wanted to accept all, I accept several. And I provided a bad service due to all the amount of work. It made me lose money, clients, reputation, feel bad... So now I have learned: never accept more projects you can manage. So, the key to being able to handle all of them...

  • Don't do a lot of them from the beginning. Right now I can handle more projects at the same time than before, just because I have practiced. I have learned how to manage the time and now I can be more efficient (but I need to improve!)
  • Try to avoid any kind of... unnecessary thing in your workplace. (It includes YouTube, if you can't stop looking videos, block it until you are able to focus on the work)
  • Do breaks to rest, don't stay in the same place without moving for hours. But in the breaks try to avoid laying on the sofa or the bed, move a little, walk, if you like do some push-ups (that is what I do)
  • Setup a Trello board with a ToDo list (or better, do it on paper, to avoid distractions on the Internet). When you wake up, plan what you have to do, sort it by priority and do it. And just after you finish all of them, do other tasks you have (for example another work you got that day)
These are some bits of advice based on what I do, just I want to say I am not an expert, it is just what I am testing!

I would love to read your coding blog if you would be kind to share that.
Once there is enough content, right now there are just a few posts, also I am trying to finish some videos :)

Update
Now let's talk about the projects. I already finished the website for the SEO agency, I just need to do some documents for the salesperson in my team and we will be able to launch it!

For the first affiliate store, I have started the niche research. I have found several good niches to start (low competition, good volume, low keyword difficulty). I have 20 niches that fit those parameters and from those 20, I have found 2 of them that I like and one of them has around 25K searches per month with a really low competition! So I am happy with the results!

About freelancer projects, as I have said in the questions, I have lost a lot of money, clients and all for being i**** and trying to take too much work. This has been a hard hit to me so now I am trying to recover.

I have started coding the new bot I talked I was going to do, I am working to support Windows, Mac and Linux and yes, it is a big pain. But also I am learning a lot so i suppose it is fine.

I thought about building some Instagram accounts on different niches to earn something from shoutouts (well, not now, but once they grow enough) so I have started building them, here are some stats:

Niche 1: 55 followers (created few months ago, just posted few posts and forget)
Niche 2: 68 followers (created few months ago, just posted few posts and forget)
Niche 3: 15 followers (created few months ago, just posted few posts and forget)
Niche 4: 271 followers ((created few months ago, I tried to build it for a project but I stopped the project so I forgot the account... until now!)
Niche 5: 21 followers (created yesterday)
Niche 6: 13 followers (created yesterday)
Niche 7: 15 followers (created yesterday)
Niche 8: 2 followers (created few hours ago)
Niche 9: 34 followers (created today)
Total: 494 (so I could say I am just 506 followers from the first milestone!)

About the Android reskin project, I have been looking about how to get some kind of free VPS. Finally I found Google Cloud Compute, you can get $300 of free credit for 1 year and then create several instances there. But I have been trying to install VNC on those instances and I wasn't able to connect! (And yes, I changed the firewall rules to allow the VNC connection). I am not really sure what was the problem but I have seen a lot of people on Internet with the same problem. Anyway I have to keep looking since it was a really good way to have an infinite amount of different computers, with different IPs, with no footprints... (So, if you know about it, help me!!!)

And that's all for this update, I have to return to the work! (But ask me any question you have meanwhile :))

Well, it is possible for more than one year. I have reached just once in my life 10000$/month, but it was working (not passive as I am trying to build now) and I know it will take a lot to reach it from now. For now, my goal is to reach 100$/month of passive
