Hello yall,

Background

Well, this is going to be the first real $100 journey. I did a couple in the past but didn't really take them seriously. Now that I'm 28 years old, I want to start really making some independent money. I want to see if I can actually make money online.

I've been working in the tech field for most of my life and tired of the slow 9-5 grind. Honestly, I hate breaking my back to make others rich. I'm also tired of having the fear of losing my job and listening to incompetent managers. This year I want to make things happen.

Main Goals

The goal at the start of the year is to move out of my country. I'm looking to live remotely somewhere cheaper. I'm not too sure but anywhere but here (Canada). So, I have until December 31, 2020, to accomplish everything. And it's around 9 months away. I'm stoke and ready.

To do this, I'm going to have to generate a major source of income. At the start of the year, I started focusing on 3 major income sources which were 1 e-commerce website and 2 Amazon affiliate websites.

Weekly Plan

Site #1 - Ecommerce
  1. Going to finish a couple of pillars pages.
  2. Going to let sit and forget for a couple of months.
  3. Currently waiting for 3 pending guest blogs to be created from influencers.
Site #2 - Amazon Affiliate Blog
  1. Get 25,000 words to be written for this blog. Once I hit 50k words, I'm going to Seat & Forget for a couple of months.
Site #3 - Amazon Affiliate Blog
  1. Get 2,000 words to be written for this blog. Once I hit 50k words, I'm going to Seat & Forget for a couple of months.

Will there be any difference in ranking your amazon sites compared to ecommerce one ..

Looks like a good plan. You might check out Equador as one of your possibilities. My cousins moved there from the states recently and they love it. I've been there and it's very cool. There are locations there where the weather is perfect also. Best wishes and stay safe.

So yo don't plan do any seo?
Only content and let it rank by itself?

Yes.

With the eCommerce website, I built a PBN and did some outreach for guest posts (maybe 6ish?) in my niche.

For the Amazon blogs, they're bought expired domains in the same niches. I'm not going to build any links to them because they're already good and have decent backlink profiles. I'm only going to add content to them. I did a social signal blast to both which helped a bit.

Yeah, I'll look into it. I want to be someone cheaper and beautiful. Sounds like a good option.

See above.

Yes, I mean why you choose it. Do you have spesific reason. Or it just your preference

Like, why I chose Amazon and E-commerce?

Nope why you choose not doing any seo, just reach content target and forget.

My knowledge of SEO is very limited and the websites, on their own, are climbing up in the serps nicely without me doing any more SEO. I come from the school of "don't fix it if it's not broke".

The "set and forget" projects are due to diversifying my income stream and focusing on other money-making Amazon affiliate websites. I want to have a minimum of 3 Amazon affiliate websites by the end of April. If things go well for all 3, I plan to scale to 5 and etc. I want to really reach $100 a day.

You said you did not really do SEO, that makes me curious about how you choose your niche.
Did you not do any keyword research and analyse your competition first before settling with the niche?
What if it is a very saturated/difficult niche to crack through?

Really good question!

I actually got a recommendation to a keyword research provider from a user on BHW who had the same Amazon affiliate type journey I'm doing now. And to clarify, I'm not a pro SEO guy but I know a thing or 2. I'm not totally green.

And to be honest, no, I didn't. I just stopped overanalyzing and just did it. A bit of research at best but honestly, grit and determination has gotten me to this point. If I fail, I fail and I rather do it by trial and error.

Holly s! 25k words in a single week! That's what I call taking advantage of all the 'free' extra time people are having right now. Good luck.

Oh ok. You have a good start then.

I should probably take some tips from your books and stop overanalyzing.

Weekly Update

Site #1 - Ecommerce
Articles - [47,005/50,000]
Sales - $0

I didn't do anything with the website this week and just making it sit and forget for a bit. Reached out to the 3 influencers who have yet to post a guest blog back to my website. Nothing back yet.

Site #2 - Amazon Affiliate Blog
Articles [25,523/50,000]
Sales - $0

Ordered 8 x 1500 word articles from a few US-based article writers. Going forward, I'm not going to be using any more services on BHW for articles. It's too much work to get quality articles. Right now, I have 2 go-to's for my articles. One is amazing and never had a problem the other one is the same but it's just not as good as the other writer. I spent $120 USD between 4 writers. Right now, I'm looking to push out more content and stop being lazy. I should honestly challenge myself here but putting my foot to the fire.

One thing I like about this website is it has a really good climb in the SERPs.

Site #3 - Amazon Affiliate Blog
Articles [47,005/50,000]
Sales - $0

Ordered x 3 1500 word articles today to reach that 50k mark. This domain has a very slow movement when it comes to jumping up in the SERPs. Going to "sit and forget" tell there's some real movement here.

Site #4 - Amazon Affiliate Blog
Articles [0/50,000]
Sales - $0

I did some keyword research and found a really good niche. Did a bid an expired domain that's perfect for the niche. Bid ends tomorrow, hopefully, I win it. Made a spreadsheet of topics and keywords to target. Going to start the work once I win the bid tomorrow.

Quick Update

I decided to challenge myself a bit more. I decided for any amount of articles I order, I have to write the same amount myself. So, if I order 8 articles, I have to write 8 articles myself. This will keep me disciplined but also double the output and hopefully the results. It will help me hit my goals a lot faster. Right now, I've completed 2 articles myself in the last 2 days. One article is around 1500 words and the other is 2000.

Also, in regards to ordering content, I'm going to make an instruction video to send to freelance writers I hire to help me with the outsource content. I think this will help me get better results and get better quality articles.
