Hello I've been lurking on these forums quite awhile for methods to make money. I started out using a Facebook method to make some money to start up my own streaming site, but would get more accounts banned automatically than anything to get what I needed. This resulted in me looking to find a host I could use for free. Surprisingly this ended up being blogger. I found a streaming blogger template customized it a bit after hours and hours of learning the basics of HTML and had a pretty decent looking streaming site ready for use.
I began adding episodes manually and eventually had over 2,000 episodes. Thinking this was a good number I began learning what I could about SEO, keyword research, site structure, google rank, social media growth etc. After choosing my keywords and getting my site as perfect as I could I bought a domain added my website to google index and waited for the magic to happen. I ended up getting a modest 500-800 daily views over time eventually growing and growing to 3,000-5,000 daily visitors. My google rank was surprisingly well for some series I'd be on the top 10 results if i was quick enough top 5 pages of results overall on average.
Main problem was keeping up with the episodes so many were being added daily at different times. I couldn't keep up and I didn't have enough. The worse feeling was watching the analytics and see someone searching for something I didn't have. This was around the time I ran into my first problem my blogger account was suspended( I shouldn't have been surprised but I was) Which resulted in me having to start from scratch. I redid everything and started creating backups for everything. I would already have 3 new blogger accounts with the website template ready for episodes to be imported once the current blogger account was suspended. Which they always were, but this was horrible for SEO seeing as the URLS changed each time so my google ranking would just go to shit when they got suspended.
This resulted in me taking my site down for quite awhile leaving it without any updates and going to work to get the money I needed for proper hosting. I got proper hosting, my website redone in PHP, got a mass scraping done that collected over 60,000 episodes, and then imported them into my website. I wanted my website mostly automated so I also set up something that will scrape and import new episodes daily. Which brings me to now I just made my website officially live yesterday with all the improvements. Right now so far today as of 4pm I've had 2,000 visitors. Wish me luck
