Journey to £1.5k a month using Shopify.

Plan of action:
Using the Shopify Dropshipping method I am going to try my hardest to get £1.5k a month by using shopify.
What have I got so far?:
  • A domain that I own, .com.
  • 43 products on my site that fit around my niche.
  • Oberlo to automatically process my products Through AliExpress.
  • A logo that is done well on my site.
What do I need?
  • Traffic. Traffic is obviously essential for my method to thrive. At the minute I am having a problem sourcing traffic for free and I am unsure how to go about it for free. I am not financially stable to buy an ad campaign so I am exploring various methods. Feel free to recommend some.
  • More products. The products I have are tightly fitted around 2 areas in the gaming niche. I am unsure whether I want this to be a micro niche or fully explore the full niche and just make my website a full on ecommerce site surrounding the niche.
Any advice is welcome. I've got the foundations but I just need the traffic at the minute. Everything else is set up. Will keep you all updated.

Following this advice,

I have posted in two groups. Got 2 visitors and one abandoned checkout unfortunately, but at least people are checking it out!
 
Really struggling to get traffic. Have 7 unique visitors from 4 group posts and 2 abandoned checkouts.

Anyone got ideas?
 
Maybe u need to try instagram? Create an account or buy in your niche grow it up and advertise your shop, facebook can help a lot i think. Good luck m8 with your journey i will follow you !

Try instagram, create some accs in your niche and grow them by follow/unfollow people from other similar accs using any automated program like Mass planner or Followliker (Check IG+OGADS method thread for more info and advices)

Takes way too long to get a decent following to direct traffic to the site. It needs to be almost instantaneous, I've started a small Facebook advertising campaign in hopes that I get some looks.
 
Once again I have had around 42Uniques/1 abandoned checkout. No traffic seems to be converting. Maybe people have wised up to the old *free product charge shipping* method
 
Launching a facebook page and getting followers is much harder than it is on instagram, you might have to accept spending a bit of money to boost/advertise your page. Once you have a bit of a following your money can go a little further though, and organic views become possible as long as people are interested enough to like/comment/share your stuff.

Getting started is hard though, I've been trying lately and I'm struggling.

It depends on the product. I recently bought something online, because it truly solved a problem for me. I went through the checkout process in, and realized it was free product, just pay shipping. I had to applaud the business, they filled a niche and got me hook line and sinker. Product showed up from China a week later. It's all in the execution!

Mind me asking what the product was? Mine are more luxurious items, I guess? Like, you don't *NEED* these items but they're cool and if you're a fan of the area then I don't see why people wouldn't buy them.

Yeah, I've started 2 small campaigns on Facebook at the minute, literally for £4 each due to the fact the reach is 11k for each campaign.

So far I've got 465 reach on one post, 367 on another, around 40 of each is organic reach and this has converted to 42 unique siteviews since this morning, zero sales though.

Also, what stopped you from thinking "This is a free product, it's on [insert wholesaler] and I can find it for pennies compared to the shipping cost"?

Yes, I have got someone helping me at the moment trying to redirect traffic from instagram. Just worrying that the products are too non-necessity rather than needed.
 
Might as well update properly.

I finally got around to adding more products that aren't tied too closely to my niches. I have around 50 products now.

Literally, the only thing left to do is drive converting traffic to my store, then I will start making money.

bruz thats not the only thing to do that is THE only thing you do with shopify. you seem quite new to this, i would suggest you pause your ads, or max 1$ a day and research. you can also look at other journeys. i am 99% sure you are going to waste every bit of money you get if you don't spend many hours researching what it is you gotta do
