Hello everyone and welcome to my first post. I had to make a new account because my old one has pretty much the same name as my youtube channel and I dont want people to find out my videos.
First of all, some background of me. I have a Youtube channel with around 300 subs and 500k views, I made videos back in 2014 when I was still a stupid 16yo without any understanding of the potential that I had with the channel. Back then I made those videos just for fun, didn't really expect to get any money and my channel grew in only a few months to over 300 subs and 500k views, but I quit making those videos even though I made some pocket money with Google adsense, I think those 500k views made me like 150-200$. After that I have been only uploading other videos to the channel, irrelevant to the niche that my first videos were about, but now I want to get back into making videos in the same niche as the videos that I originally made.
This time I will put more time to make the videos more professional, because now when I look at them they are horrible. Shitty thumbnails, shitty quality even tho they are 1080p (bad render settings), shitty quality overall, I don't understand why would have anyone wanted to watch that shit. Since then i've learned how to use photoshop, I can make good and attractive thumbnails, I know how to use Sony Vegas so the video quality isn't as bad as before. It honestly blows my mind that those old videos have 50-75k views each.
So... About the goals.
-1st goal: I want to get monetized again, I lost my monetization when Youtube updated their requirements to 1000 subs and 4k hours viewed. Now I have 300/1000 subs and 60/4000 hours viewed.
-2nd goal: Getting first Amazon affiliate sale. Everything that I test in the videos, I will put affiliate links to the desc for people to buy. Back in 2014 I didn't even know about affiliate marketing.
-3rd goal: Making money back from the "investments" that I'm going to put into the videos. Equipment for these videos are expensive and they don't last forever, im technically reviewing and testing things and making videos about that.
-4th goal: TBD
There are my goals for now, I will update them as my journeys goes on. I hope that I can start making my first video this month, really depends when I can get my hands on the things that I will be making the videos of. Right now im just focusing on updating my Youtube channel, changing avatar and banner and creating thumbnails as a practice. I will have to learn more about ranking the videos and how tags etc work. My old videos somehow ranked even though I didn't try to rank them, I just put few tags on them and basic information on desc and a bad thumbnail and somehow they managed to get views. Anyway, thanks for reading and I will update this thread when I get my videos uploaded and see some results. I will also answer to comments.
