I will attempt to create a newsletter from scratch via Beehiiv
As I searched the internet, looking for new ways to make money, I came across Beehiiv. I must say, the amount of opportunity in this platform is insane.

1. They have an ad network with many businesses that will pay you for a spot in your newsletter.
2. They have a boost program, where if someone subscribes to your newsletter, they will be recommended similar newsletters that are willing to pay you anywhere from $2-3 PER SUBSCRIBER

What will I be posting?
I asked ChatGPT what the most profitable niches are in newsletter marketing, finance/investing was one of them. As someone who has spent YEARS learning how to trade stocks and options, I thought to myself: this is perfect.

I decided I will create a newsletter based on the stock market, where I will mainly post weekly watchlists and major news.
I am in no means a profitable trader, but in my years of experience trying to make it work, I have learned almost everything there is to know about technical analysis. I also genuinely enjoy doing technical analysis, news and stock research.

I was thinking about creating a crypto newsletter, as im sure there is profitability there, but since I don't have a real passion for it, I doubt I would have the fuel to create a high quality newsletter.

What are my goals?
You cant get to a destination without knowing where you're going, right?
For the first time in an online venture, I'm not going to set a $ milestone, I'm going to set real performance goals that I can actually achieve.

Goal #1: Reach 10,000 high quality newsletter subscribers within 6 months
Goal #2: Achieve at least a 30% open rate
Goal #3:
Publish weekly watchlists

For goal #3, i'd like to post daily watchlists and news 5x/week, but I don't want to bite off more than I can chew at the beginning. Think about it, image you say you're going to start working out, and jump right into it 5 times per week. You may fail and give up on it because its too hard. Instead, its best to start slow, get used to the lifestyle, then increase your frequency.

You can find my newsletter here: [Don't put a link to your newsletter]
- I also acquired thestockbuzz.com for only $10, very surprised it wasn't taken

This isn't my only online venture, I do have two other ventures actively producing income for me, so I will not be spending too much time on this, however I would like to spend at least 1 hour per day creating posts and advertising online to build the email list.

Wish me luck :)

How do you plan to promote it?
1. paid ads, I have a few different creatives a/b testing at $5/day (this will be very minimal, just want to see how paid ads perform)
2. twitter, I'm going to post weekly watchlists on twitter and potentially collab with influencers.
3. paid stock communities. I will reach out to paid signal / options trading communities. I'll post my watchlists in their communities for free, in return they will let me promote my newsletter

I'm also thinking turning thestockbuzz.com into a blog.

Then my newsletter could correspond with the blog and that could be another form of traffic.

Its going to be tuff, but nothing I'm not expecting.

Update #1

- Got my first 14 subscribers from reddit

What I'm going to look into:
- quora marketing
- instagram reels
- facebook groups
- twitter

I'm going to create a free e-book to give in return for a subscribe. Going to make a landing page for the e-book which asks for their email.

I ran paid ads which directly asked them to "subscribe to our free email newsletter", it said "receive daily watchlists straight to your inbox"

I tested 3 variations of ads, even a video. cost per click ranged from $1-2. if i offer a free e-book instead i'd expect this to drop under $1.

But I am going to stay away from paid ads for now, at least until I reach some type of monetization. Going to stick with organic growth, as I believe engaging on planforms such as fb, Instagram, and reddit will yield better results. I've noticed growing a newsletter through paid ads costs a LOT of money.

Still no posts yet, i'll publish my first at 100 subs.

Wish you a best luck, I also have an email marketing journey here, can send you a link if you wish.

Good luck man!

Update #2

Currently at 34 subscribers. Launched my first campaign today

Ngl I like writing, It took a few hours to make the template and write the watchlist, but now that my template is created each weekly watchlist should take no more than 1 hour to make.

I feel pretty good about this. I also reached out to a couple different newsletters, just to kinda let them know what I do, sent them a copy of my recent newsletter and hinted at a partnership (even though I don't have much to offer). honestly not expecting much, but we'll see what they have to say.

UPDATE #3

Just cracked 500 subscribers, in about three weeks.

This is all organic, I do have a good network on discord with trading groups, got some of them to promote my newsletter for free or very cheap. The growth is likely going to calm down now but great start. Tried doing organic posting on reddit but the communities in trading are heavily moderated and was banned from all of them, didnt even mention my newsletter in posts, so reddit is out the door.

Going to create a free e-book as a lead magnet, post on twitter than slap some ads for engagement. Im thinking saying "like comment retweet" for a free ebook on trading, with an image of some big gains.

Also, I rebranded, now posting on forex, indexes, and commodities instead of stocks, as thats my target audience, imo affiliates and sponsors would pay more on that side. Going to start monetizing with sparkloop recommendations.

My goal from here is 40% open rate, 3 posts per day, and 50+ new subscribers per day. LETS GET IT.

Pretty keen on watching how this plays out! Best of luck!

You can take a lead magnet from ClickBank trading products. Some of them have very high-quality leadmagnets.
Appreciate the suggestion, I checked clickbank affiliate offers for trading, but cant find where they offer lead magnets, is it premade lead magnets or presets/templates? can you point me in the right direction? Thanks
