Journey Starting a Mobile Focused Company

Been a long time. The work has not stopped though. I won't lie I hit a serious wall for about a month I think it is what is commonly referred to as burnout. I couldn't do anything for a while and just sat around burning & playing NBA 2k13....

Sometimes you have to give yourself a break...

Since that I have hopped back on the horse, I have a mobile Ipad presentation and a phone script for making appointments. More calls for sales. I am giving myself 2 weeks to get my first mobile site sale starting right now. My goal is to make 100x calls in the next 30 days.

Sales are the only important thing. I have developed a good product so I just have to put myself more out there.

Next update on monday.

Update #2:

I have done 2 mobile appointments. One at an Olive Oil shop & the other at a restaurant. Both are talk to me laters. :(

I have however Identified my problem. I created huge value packages and went in and told them about the extras. SMS, Mobile ordering etc... NOT GOOD for these particular customers anyway. I think with the smaller businesses you have to keep it short sweet and simple. Shoot for 10-15 minutes demos minus the rapport time because these people are busy. ONLY SELL THE MOBILE SITE... everything else is an up sell for later. I'll be reworking my demo this week.

--On another note I got 2 call backs from the mobile app projects I started earlier in the journey. Both want proposals. Although the musician wants it for social media help not the app itself. I had showed the musician everything I could do for the company earlier and they are interested in some particular social stuff, I'll draw the prop up for it and keep the mobile fresh on their minds as well.
--The school wants the proposal as well. So I'm drawing that up.

One thing I have noticed is I need a team. I can do everything myself: webdesign, mobile design, etc but I honestly don't want to. So I'm looking for some developers that I can just call on to get shit done efficiently and quickly. I partnered up with a high end web designer who will give me a cool percentage on any jobs I can refer him to so that's one, but I also want to combine with a mobile designer who can do crisp clean apps. Gotta manage your time better as a BOSS.

More updates on the way

How's the journey coming along? I've also been quite interested to start a mobile marketing company with a partner. I'm great with sales, he's a marketing guy. Seems to be an interesting product but have read some horror stories about the industry but some successes. One stat I saw said it takes 6months to a year to move out of the red and really get going.
