[Journey] Shaunm's Parasite Journey

Just a heads up, since the latest indexing update on June, none of the indexing services is worth it anymore. Until they find another method for fast indexing, signing up with them right now is like throwing money down the drain. I do hope they come back though, you could index thousands of GSA links before with just 1 click and now we have to build our own methods and infrastructure to do that. Google played the game well this time lol...

Yea it seems that way, it is just a crawling service I am using right now though. Not an indexing service. I am still going to cancel it though.

Update

  • I have implemented my new indexing experiment so we will see how that goes.
  • I have tweaked SER a little more and its running at around 105 LPM pulling around 75 VPM so I am happy with that for now.
  • The Amazon parasite dropped to the low 30's for some reason, I have decided to try a new onpage seo technique with it to see how it goes.
  • The vast majority of the parasites that are indexed are just bouncing around now, even the onces that used to be in the top 10 have dropped and started dancing so we will see how that goes.

Update

I havent done much today in regards to work on my current projects but I have been researching private blog networks as I am looking to move more in that direction rather than GSA SER spam. Currently I am looking to invest in around 25 domains to try get into the game hack niche and build from there.

Update

Pretty much every parasite seems to be dropping now, not 100% sure why. It could be because of the low quality links. The Amazon parasite is still the highest ranking at number 41 :(. I am definitely going to move towards my own PBN rather than mass spam. I have ordered 25 domains, trying to get the funds to increase that to 50. I have been reading up on PBNs the past few days and should be able to make something work.

Update

Just more PBN research, going to start some keyword research tomorrow for new niches that can all be linked to with my niche PBN.

Good luck mate. I am following your journey and learning some new things from it. I like that you are keeping us updated about whatever that's happening with you and your project. :)

Cheers mate :).

Update

My SERP tracker is showing that the vast majority of my parasites are losing rank very very fast :( My amazon page actually got an increase after falling to 40/50s its jumped back to the low 20s. I am side lining the SER stratergy for now and focusing everything into my PBN for high quality links.

  • Spoke to my domain guy and hes scraping is going well so I will hopefully have 25 domains in a week or so.
  • I have been reading everything I can on PBNs to try make sure this works.
  • I have spoke to my landing page guy to see what niches he is able to support and done more keyword research to support these niches.
  • I have worked out how I plan to post to all of my PBNs from one location and it shouldent leave a footprint with google.
  • I have found an excellent source of content to feed to my PBN.
  • I have been working on a few different ideas to scale quickly and boost the strength of the PBN ASAP.
  • I am also trying to increase my budget for my PBN to allow me to start with 50 domains rather than 25.

You got a nice case study thread there i am as well jumping to the parasite game soon. How can you get an amazon parasite? Do you need a product, that you sell?

Interesting read, I have a couple questions. They're kind of off topic.

1.How long have you been doing IM? You clearly have a well rounded way of thinking and a good way of approaching and solving problems.
2. I personally don't have GSA SER, but I've read there's a steep learning curve. Do you agree or disagree?

Cheers, They are product pages for stuff ordered for alibaba/kindle books.

No problem ask away.

1 - I was introduced to IM in late 2012 if I remember but didnt take action until early 2014 due to military deployments. I feel this helped though as while I was away I read about IM, business, sales and everything I could get my hands on in my free time. I started with YouTube to CPA then moved to SEO as I see it as a more stable method but have a master plan I am working towards.

2 - If you have a day or so to spare then you can easily pick SER up in that time, I dont find it hard at all although the interface is a little over whelming at first. I would also wait out on purchasing it for now until they workout a way to get the links indexed again. Although I have dropped my SER projects from this case journey I still have projects running in the back ground trying to workout indexing methods. I learned to use SER by purchasing 40 one page web 2.0s and tried to rank them all but admittedly it was a lot easier back in 2014 to rank with SER.

Update
  • The guy I was JVing with has dropped out but I have adapted my plan to purchase 5 aged domains that would have been used in my PBN and use them as money site domains so strictly this is moving away from being a parasite journey for now, the domains are paid for I am just waiting for delivery.
  • I have worked out how I am going to try rank these sites and its a 99% hand off method so will allow for fast scaling if it works.
  • I have ordered the landing page article along with some filler articles for my first domain and have settled on the main keyword I want to target for it.
  • I have been working on my keyword research method and using two different tools have came up with a method that has reduced my keyword research time MASSIVLY!
  • I have tried a new thing with my amazon parasites keyword density and will report back on how it does, I have made a new keyword density and keyphrase density formula and added it to the spreadsheet I use to quickly work them out but if it pays off it will become my new formula.
  • Most of the parasites I have been blasting with SER have dropped out of the top 300 now :(. My amazon parasite is hovering 20/21 and I have a few YouTube parasites within the top 100 holding steady. My linking split tests suggest that direct linking to YouTube is nowhere near as effective as it used to be but embeds is still effective.

Thanks for answering my question. I assume you are from UK and you sell on amazon UK. Badly i am not from an amazon supported country, so i have only 2 options:
1. ebooks
2. dropshiping

Before i do anything, picked up a random amazon product page and doing my blast to test. After that i need to start with ebooks and finding some dropship company. What can you recommend here?

From your last update sames amazon parasites are more stable from others.

Yea from my testing Amazon is definitely the most stable. I am from the UK but I sell my ebooks on Amazon.com and do my SEO for the amazon.com links as they still show up in UK, AU, NZ, CA and ZA searches but the user can click the button to be taken to their local amazon store and purchase the book there so you get global sales by SEOing the .com just not as many as you would for doing each local store.

With ebook I use content writers right here on blackhatworld but I have a few methods to make money with Kindle now so I always pay premium $$$ for my ebook to make sure it gets good reviews. If I was you I would go with a budget writer, get a 2000 (I think this is the minimum word count but i'm not 100% as I always put 5000 words minimum) word book and upload it and use them for testing your link blasts. There is a guy in the BST here on BHW who can hook you up with content that will pass the amazon approval process for only $12 for 2000 words hes the cheapest I have ever found, let me know if you need him and I will dig out the link to his BST and link it here.

Dropshipping wise, I used to be in a JV with a real life friend and we used to use eBay as our parasite but our method is patched out :(. Basically he told me items that he could get and I would do keyword research and see what was worth it. To my knowledge he got everything of alibaba. I delt with the IM side he delt with the physical side of it. You could in theory do the amazon -> ebay drop ship and SEO the pages to test it if you like but I havent tried ebay parasites in around a year now.

Are you going to use PBN for some niche or authority website?

Are you going to use PBN for some niche or authority website?

I have had to adapt my strategy a little to use SAPE links now but it wont be either, it is essentially a landing page on the home page with a few other articles on the site to try escape the thin site filter I have heard google may have.

Update
  • Received my first aged domain, DA - 23 PA - 36 TF - 10 CF - 31. Pointed it to my nameservers and set up hosting, uploaded my landing page template to it and added a few little bits to it.
  • Ordered a Doge links package to the root domain, I have a thing about subscription payments coming out on the first of the month so I will start my SAPE subscription on the 1st.
  • Tweaked my CPAGrip content locker code to look better and feel more realistic.
  • Changed my Amazon parasite KWD so I will see how it gets on once the google cache refreshes it.
  • Checked my adsence account and the original blogger blogs have made around $15 somehow but they have never shown up in the top 300 for their targeted keyword so I have no idea where they are getting traffic from.
  • Other than Amazon and YouTube the test parasites continue to fall.

Update
  • I have researched a few SERP providers here on BHW and think I have two providers I am going to try out come next month. One is well known and the other is new but does baby packages for super low comp keywords.
  • I have received my articles from my writer and updated my landing page with the lander article. SERPBook is down right now so I cant add it to my tracker to see where it starts but as soon as its back up I will add it and get Google to crawl it.

Have you tried RankWyz yet?

I tried RankWyz 1.0 and it was terrible! I know they have released RankWyz 2.0 but they would have to work very very very hard to earn me back as a customer for the price they currently charge and how bad their service was before when FCS Networker is so good for so cheap.

Hey Shaunm if you were going to submit spun articles using GSA and looplines, which web2.0 platforms would you check off in GSA?

I'd like to use a standard list of platforms that usually work well and are diversified.

Afternoon,

I wouldn't use any Web 2.0 platforms within GSA SER as the developer has stated the web 2.0's are not a high priority for the software and rarely work.

I'm guessing that you are using SER to rank and not just to diversify your backlink profile and that you are building directly to your money site? Although I have not managed to sucessfully rank a parasite with C&B (I feel this is an indexing issue not a SER issue) I have ranked sites with SER previously.

Here is a little mini guide to select your key platforms within 30 seconds.....

Open a new project and right click the platforms on the left and select "check all", right click again and select "uncheck engines that use no contextual links".

Next on the options box click "articles only" as shown below. This is our first step to ensure that we don't waste resources or T2 links on gash profile links that are no use. A MASSIVLY important step in my opinion that the vast majority of people seem to over look the second step of this will be covered later in this post.

Next uncheck "video", "adult video" and "web 2.0".

Next right click again and select "uncheck engines with no follow links."

Next I recomend you select "no" on the popup box, this is for two reasons. Firstly a fair few of the target urls that can post to platforms that allow do and no follow links will give you a do follow link so I leave them in the pool. Secondly it puts a few no follows in so that the link profile looks more natural in Googles eyes.

Next select the "Options" tab, scroll down to the "Filter URLs" section and on the check boxes tick "Article-Wiki". This allows SER to post a full contextual article on the Wiki platforms rather than the sucky little links. Back in the day before SER got so big a fair few of the site admins would just delete the article so this option is unticked by default. These days so many people use SER and the premium target lists target sites that have been abandoned that your articles will stick on the wikis.

Next scroll down on the same options box and fine "Profile-Contextual" and untick it. This will stop SER from posting gash little profiles that in my opinion are useless and hold little to no value. If you leave this option ticked SER will post the vast majority of the projects links in this format and then all the resources that are used to build your T2/T3 links are wastes as they are pointing as a totally useless link.

Hopfully this helps a little. Any more questions then feel free to ask.

Thanks that's a big help. I have a PBN setup, but I wanted to use spun articles on 2.0's as a buffer between my PBN and GSA links (although I will still create some direct links to the PBN to keep it natural). I'm really trying to avoid creating 10-20 2.0 sites for each of my PBN sites. You'd be talking several hundred 2.0's and there's simply not enough time in the day to create and manage all that.
