Hey there. I am new to this forum but I am Sr. Software Engineer with expertise in SaaS and Mobile app development. I have zero knowledge in game development - I just see my kids playing Roblox games and have lots of requests to purchase tons and tons of game stuffs. Because of this, I will start developing my own mini Roblox games through vibecoding and see if I can gain enough robux to purchase their wanted game stuffs.

Since I am too lazy to learn new stacks and technologies for this matter, I will try to leverage the current power of AIs so I decided to go to vibecoding.

This is my setup for my Vibecoding:
* Cursor AI Pro - IDE
* Rojo
* Roblox Studio with MCP ready
* Roblox-ts
* Flamework Framework

I will try to do this just a side hustle and to see if it can be a career-changing stuff ;)

GOod luck keep us updated.
Update # 1.
* Had Couple of GUI conceptualized for the roblox game. It's a common game. Fishing with Fish Battle feature. Currently, I managed to familiarized the usage of Cursor AI and so far it's giving decent results. These are the screenshots of GUIs it generated so far. It's not perfect but I think it's getting there.

There are still bunch of GUIs that I need to improve or the AI should improve but so far I'm happy for the results from a zero-knowledge on game development.
I will continue on playing around with different prompts and hopefully in nearest time, I could also start on the game mechanics.

Looking good! A different journey than the others, wish you good luck. Looking forward for the updates :)

That actually makes a lot of sense. With your background, using AI and vibecoding is probably the fastest way to get something playable without going deep into game dev theory. Roblox rewards experimentation anyway, so treating it as a low pressure side project is the right mindset.

Are you planning to start with super simple mechanics first, or jump straight into something your kids already enjoy playing?

Stop using AI to write your replies here!! So obvious and cringe lmao.

Good luck OP, that's a creative journey.

That sounds like an exciting journey! Leveraging AI with your existing software experience is a smart approach wishing you success in creating fun Roblox games and earning Robux while exploring game development!

thats crazy I am on a similar journey .. I am thinking of ways to push traffic to it though cheaply
