[Journey] Ranking A Site That Uses AI Generated Content

When are you going to monetize your site?
It’s been monetised for a while now. This thread is not really about the money so I don’t talk about any income and expenses. It’s just to see how AI content ranks.

Awesome thread, thank you for sharing. Can I ask your opinion on a couple of things?

What difference do you think a good expired domain would have made? I plan to try this and add a few citations.

Would you use this method on an established, well linked site? I have an authority site with about 800 PV per day, but never get time to add new content.

I’ve used expired domains several times in the past but lately, it’s been hard to get clean expired domains.

The keywords I targeted had no competition so I’m not sure if having links through an expired domain would have made any difference. But I’m not sure tbh.

I don’t usually add AI content to my bigger sites but I don’t think it should be a problem. Since the topics on my bigger sites need more research, it’s actually cheaper and faster to get them written by a writer.

AI content is great but doing the research takes a lot of time. So if you’re short of time, you’ll be better of buying content instead of using AI.

Have a keen interest in this. Just getting the ball rolling ranking sites. My good friend is a top seo and claims there are tons of things to do but other friends throw out spam and it works. All low comp. My biggest hangup has been content and lately indexing. How fast were you able to get indexed with a new domain? I have seen expired indexed in a few days and others take a long time. Curios of your experience.

There are many different ways to do things. It all depends on what works for you. Some people swear by spam. Some people rank spun content. Some people only want to post content that is at least 10$/100 words.

Eventually, SEO is not that hard. It’s keyword research + content + links. Everything else is secondary.

The more competitive they keywords, the more you need to optimize the content and links. For low comp keywords, you don’t need to know any SEO.

If you want my advice, find 100 low competition keywords in your niche before you write a single word or even buy a domain. Once that’s done, write all 100 articles before moving on to another project. No need to bother with links. Rinse and repeat.

I don’t remember exactly how long it took to get indexed but I’m sure it wasn’t more than a few days. Newly registered domains seem to get crawled pretty quickly.

Thanks for the reply and advice. I have thousands of low comp keywords that I have found. Just trying to decide if I wanted to use expired domains or just buy new ones. Will likely try both ways and see what I like best.

Thanks man! I needed to hear that. My good friend is a top seo and says spun spam won't work.

How much traffic does your friend generate with SEO for his sites?
Really can't say for sure as it has never come up. I do know that I knew him when he had a job and now banks big. He uses a mass page strategy. He builds thousands of pages over a period of time and with spun content. If one grab hold good enough he will make it better. I also know 2 of his friends he has taught that do it full time. I am just getting started myself due to my dad taking a fall and I have to be at home most all time now.

Based on what you said, he’s creating spam pages. So why is he telling you that it doesn’t work when that’s his strategy?

That's not the seo friends strategy. He is the one telling me it won't work. I also know the guy making spam pages well. I'm just trying to decide which way might be faster to make income? I believe the seo may do so because of having my friend but I am drawn to simple fast spam creation as well. Geen messing around with this stuff a long time but never got serious because I was self employed offline. Now I have no option since my dad fell.

Yup! Spam works, but you really have to push the volume to make money. :)

With spam, volume is king, mate!

Ok I’m sorry I misunderstood. So how much traffic does your “top SEO” friend generate each month?

If you’re not experienced with spamming correctly, it’s going to be hard to get results. It can be as difficult as ranking a white hat site unless someone spoon feeds you a working method.

No worries man. He actually generates zero at the moment. He has made his money doing consults helping others rank their stuff. He is working on his own site now. He stopped for a while due to algo updates kicking his butt in his early days. I recently pushed him back to doing for himself. I have been self employed offline 31 years and couldn't understand him not using that skill to make way more with affiliate marketing..

It's hard to find clean expired domain nowadays, it's better to do a proper keyword research on new domain, it ll ranking in short period of time it the KD is low.

Ok, I don’t mean to attack your friend but he’s definitely not a “top SEO” with zero traffic.

If you would like to start a spam site, go for it. Take the advice of someone who’s currently doing it and generating over 100,000 traffic a month.

Same thing with a white hat site. If you want to start it, take the advice of someone who’s generating 100,000 traffic a month or more.

I chose 100,000. You can choose 500,000 or 1 million. But the point is that you need to take advice from people who have actually achieved results and not some random people saying content is King and make web 2.0s.

There’s no point getting advice from people who are just regurgitating things they’ve heard elsewhere.
