[Journey] Ranking A Site That Uses AI Generated Content

I appreciate your efforts; it inspires me.
My ability to write an article is limited for some reason. Thus, I follow your method.
For now, I'm going to use terial mode to figure out how it works
All the best.

Best journey thread I've read in a while!
So many great ideas!

Makes me wonder how long before there is a complete autoblog system that you give seed keywords and it goes to work writing articles automatically.

Yeah. That would be amazing. lol

1) What about a website on a broad subject (not a niche) and just target low competition keywords? (I'm wanting to just generate traffic).

2) Instead of ads, I'm thinking of capturing visitors for email list signups for email marketing so I keep selling to them for infinity.

Thanks again for all the gold nuggets! :)

You can choose to direct your visitors however you like. If they find your content and you have CTAs that encourage them to sign up for your list, there’s no reason why you can’t monetise them again in the future.

Thanks bro!

I see no reason why that wouldn’t work. You can drive traffic by answering questions in any niche. As long as the keywords are low comp, you can rank them.

Yeah. I use Ezoic and Newor Media.

I know a lot of people complain about Ezoic but if you set up the ads correctly, Ezoic is very good.

You can expect a minimum of 10-12 bucks per 1000 visits for US traffic. One of my sites is getting 60 bucks per 1000 visits just from Ezoic.
How do you set up Ezoic? I get very low EPMV ($5-7) in Technology niche which is weird. I have followed their placeholder setup guide. I placed 10 placeholders per blog post. Do I need to increase the number of placeholders to 15-20?
Please help me! I just want $10-12 per 1000 visits.
I get 99% traffic from google. 90% traffic from Tier-I countries (65% US)
Mobile traffic -90%

Increasing the number of placeholders will not make a difference. At a time, Ezoic will only display a certain number of ads to comply with Google Adsense policies.

For example, they won't show 10 ads for 200 words of content regardless of how many placeholders you set up. The placeholders just help them in testing different spots to optimize your revenue.

How long is your content? If its short content, the payouts are okay. Higher EPMVS are for longer content where they can show multiple ads.

Also, how long do people spend on your page? If people are just spending a few seconds on your page, it isn't possible to show them a lot of ads. So your revenue gets affected.

Also, what's your total traffic? If its low, then they don't have enough data to optimize ads for your sites and again the revenue will be affected.

If you have long form content with a lot of traffic and good time on page, I'd recommend reaching out to their support and asking them why your payout is low. There may be other reasons for your EPMV that I haven't thought of.

To learn how to set up placeholders, I recommend taking a look at this video:

Thank you so much for helping me.
I get 10-12k session per month.
I write 1000-1100 words long posts.

How about the average time on page?

In any case, I recommend getting in touch with their support and asking them why the EPMV is low. Maybe they can share some insights with you.

@warriorsam53
Can using an expired domain offer benefit?
Or not necessary?
Yeah they can. But it’s hard to find clean, strong expired domains. Most of the good ones are picked up. You can get in touch with @Nargil if you want expired domains. He’s probably the best.

I don’t really used expired domains that much. The kind of keywords I target don’t need any links to rank. So I’m better off with a fresh domain.
How do you determine that?
Competitive keywords may need links. If you’re going to target buyer intent keywords, you’ll most likely need links unless you find some hidden gems.

Can you explain how you came up with low competition niche?
Is it a very small niche what no big player interest in the topic?

I found one keyword that looked interesting when I was doing keyword research for another site.

I just used the question and saw that people are asking the same question about several different products. So I got a list of keywords from auto suggest.

No big player so far is covering this topic. It’s quite a silly topic and I don’t think anyone will.

hello warriorsam53
I have a question. As I told you before I'm following this amazing journey and taking action.
for now, I have 15 blog posts. now I'm adding 2/3 posts daily.
still no clicks only some impressions.

my target is to add 500 low com posts with 300+ words

my question is
is it possible to rank if there are no exact matched keyword targeted posts in SERp
For ex: I'm writing a post on ' are guinea pigs rats or pigs?'

but the first page results are like
guinea pig facts/ guinea pig wiki/ guinea pig not rodents

and these results are only showing bcz the articles have these words in posts, not even H2 tags.

is it worth targeting this kind of KWs?
or only target keywords with forums, quora type results?

Hey!

I'm glad you're taking action. Let me know if you need any help.

So here's the screenshot of the SERP for your query: are guinea pigs rats or pigs:
are guinea pigs rats or pigs.jpg

---

A couple of observations. Google knows rat ~ rodent. The current post ranking for the snippet is amazing and it should satisfy the search intent of anyone searching for that query.

There are 4 sites that directly answer the question. Plus Animal Corner Wikipedia also answer the question directly within their content (check the meta description that's pulled from the page).

According to me, it's not easy to rank a 300 word post without links for this query.

Can it be ranked? Of course. Anything can be ranked.

Is it worth the effort if you just want to drive traffic easily with minimum work? Personally, I don't think so.

------------------------
Just because there are Quora and Reddit posts on page 1 does not mean that the keyword is easy to rank. It's a good sign for sure but you have to see the other results.

If 9 pages on the SERP are answering the same question and there's one Reddit/Quora post, it's not an easy keyword.
------------------------

About your plan to make 500 posts that are 300 words each, the plan is good and you'll definitely get traffic if your keywords are good. However, ad payout will be low because of length of the content. But the volumes should make up for the low EMPV.

So as long as you account for that, you should be good to go.

All the best.

Did you apply to ezoic after you setup the site with al content and they accepted or?
