[Journey] Phone Farming for Passive Income – My Path to $50/day with Apps & Automation

Interesting journey, thanks for sharing.

One thing I wanted to point out though – I noticed your username, signature, and media all point to Box Phone Farm. Since your thread is about testing setups and sharing results, it does make me wonder if this “journey” is also doubling as indirect promotion for your service/product.

I’m not saying you can’t be genuine about testing phone farming – just that from a reader’s perspective, it feels a bit like a hidden ad wrapped in a journey format. If the main goal is to show transparency and real results, maybe clarifying your connection to Box Phone Farm upfront would clear that up.

Otherwise, I do like the idea of tracking profitability and automation progress – just wanted to raise the concern in case others had the same thought.

Do you start earning from those phones?
Yes, they’ve started bringing in some earnings. It’s still early so the numbers aren’t huge yet, but I can already see which categories of apps are more stable. The plan is to keep testing, track results, and scale gradually. I’ll share more detailed figures once I have consistent data across all devices.

good luck and waiting for feedbacks.
Thanks! I’ll make sure to share feedback as I go along.

Hi do you control all the phones from your pc and how
I manage them from my PC. Basically using remote control / device management software so I don’t have to touch each phone one by one. It lets me run updates, restart, and monitor apps from a central dashboard. Still testing different setups, but the main idea is to reduce as much manual work as possible.

I totally understand the concern. To clarify – this thread isn’t meant to advertise anything. The username/signature is just what I use on BHW since I’ve been active in that niche, but this journey itself is strictly about testing with my own setup and documenting results.

I’m not selling or promoting here – just sharing what works and what doesn’t as I experiment with apps, devices, and automation. Hopefully the updates will be useful for others who are also curious about phone farming, whether they build with individual phones or other setups.

Appreciate you raising it though, because transparency is definitely important for a journey like this.

You could also try setting up automations to warmup linkedin accounts and resell them or rent them out. standard rate for a 500+ connection account would be like 150+ a month
Who rents LinkedIn accounts? I can rent mine out, it has about 101 connections and its hella old. Maybe 10 years? I'm never active on it. But I could use the income to help me get started on other things. I lsot my job a few years back and I've been basically doing the hand to mouth thing since then.

Love that you’re tracking ROI from day one, most people wing it and quit too soon

Yeah, I’ve seen that too — tracking ROI early keeps me from burning out or guessing blindly. Even small wins look more solid when you know the exact numbers. I’m hoping this approach will make it easier to spot what’s really working before scaling.

Could you provide some more information on setting up box phone farm ?
Yes, I could, it’s basically a unit that can hold multiple phones (like 5–20) in one place, with shared power/cooling. Makes it easier to manage than having cables all over. You just slot the phones in, hook up power + network, and then control them with management software. I’m only running one box now just to compare it with loose phones, will share results once I get more data.

Try Genfarmer

Their have many great articles on how to do what you want

Stay with Phone Boxes that use Samsung mainboard phones + mobile proxys

Use the control software + AI Bots that mimic human action

Stay away from boxes that carry individual phones. They get too hot and the radiation can kill you

Sincerely,

The Eye

I don't know how trustworthy they are; they don't answer questions. How can you trust a company that doesn't answer questions from potential customers?

I think the same way, thank you for speaking my mind.

i talked with them too but they dont have clear answers so i didnt trust that much
They are one of my industry competitors, this is nothing short of public sabotage. If they spam sales here they will be banned, I think BHW bots are actively filtering carefully

why not rent teh farm to OF management ppl?
Yeah, I’ve seen people do that — renting out devices or entire farms to OF management agencies or account managers. It can definitely be profitable if handled right. For this journey though, I’m keeping the focus on testing reward/crypto/media apps and seeing how far I can push it towards a stable $50/day baseline. Once I’ve got that dialed in, exploring partnerships or rentals like you mentioned could be an interesting way to scale further down the line.

those fully white hat apps/low hanging fruit aren't gonna be much ROI but im still excited to see what you do! I'm building my own rn

Get what you mean — the safer/white hat apps usually don’t give crazy ROI, but for me the goal right now is just to build a stable baseline and see how far it can scale. Once I’ve got that locked in, I might experiment with riskier angles too. Good to hear you’re building your own setup — definitely share your results, it’d be cool to compare notes

Hi, BHW member.
I’ve always been curious about building small streams of passive income online. After testing a few different ideas, I decided to dive into phone farming – running multiple devices with reward apps, video apps, and automation setups to see if it’s possible to hit a stable daily income.

I - My Goal

  • To reach $50/day consistently from phone farming. This won’t make me rich, but it would prove that this setup can be scaled into a reliable side hustle.

II - Current Setup

  • Starting with: 20 phones (Android mix, low-cost models) + 1 box phone setup.
  • Investment so far: around $600 (devices, power hubs, cooling, SIMs, accessories).
  • Apps being tested: a mix of reward-based, crypto-related, and media apps (not naming any specifically here to stay within the rules).
  • Tools: basic automation/control software to manage the devices and reduce manual work.

III - My Strategy

  1. Test different apps on a small batch before scaling.
  2. Automate repetitive tasks as much as possible.
  3. Track daily results → adjust apps/device allocation accordingly.
  4. Reinvest profits to expand to 50+ devices if results are solid.

IV - What I’ll Share in This Journey

  • Daily/weekly updates on earnings.
  • Which apps or categories perform better.
  • Cost vs profit tracking.
  • Progress on automation setups.
*This thread is just for documenting my own experience – I’m not promoting, selling, or recommending any specific products/services. Hopefully, it will help others who are curious about phone farming and automation as a passive income method.
*Let’s see if this journey can really reach $50/day
great share! I have one question: do you use for each of the phones an operate email or just one for all of them? because when you say you test reward-based apps and crypto stuff do you need to register and to log in? All the best.

Thanks for the question! For most of the reward and crypto apps you do need an account, so I usually keep separate emails for the devices I’m actively testing. That way, if one account has issues or gets flagged, it doesn’t affect the others. It also helps me track which device is linked to which app/account when I look at results later.

Using just one email across all devices is risky and makes it harder to manage performance, so I prefer to spread things out. It takes a bit more time to set up initially, but in the long run it keeps the farm more stable and organized.

Any update? I also run a phone farm but i dont have a phone box/automation

hows it going so far? im looking to buy a phone box soon so following your progress
