[Journey] Noob Meets Instagram

Hello! Welcome to my part journey, part science experiment with Instagram. I started this because I wanted to fully document my experience in attempting to make Instagram a viable secondary income in 2018. For my first goal, I want to see how viable this is today, as Instagram becomes smarter and smarter. I will consider this goal met at $1 a day. Secondly, I want to experiment till I get a viable way to beat the bot detection every time, then share this method, because long live the black hats. Long term, I want to make enough to satisfy my Amazon and drinking habits. I will call this achieved at $800 a month Finally, for absolute end game goals, I want to scale this until it becomes ridiculously broken. I think 100k+ active accounts should do. Because why not? I love money.

DISCLAIMER:
I should make it clear that I am a complete, total, and utter noob to everything IM, Instagram, and Llama. I am fully expecting to crash and burn a few good times, then pick my ass up and get going once again. I know the information here on BHW is world class. I have read hours of guides and have at least 12 pages of notes. I am confident I can get what I need to succeed here in this forum. However, I fear that what worked in 2015 may not work in 2018, at least not without serious tweaking. If you want to follow in my footsteps, be warned, you might be lost too. Please wait to see what the consequences of my decisions are before jumping in, you have been warned. I am not responsible for loss of life, dismemberment, or the canceling of your favorite pirated TV show, by you following this journey. Don't say I didn't warn you.

My Current Supplier Set Up:

• Instagram Accounts by pandasmm.com (Found from BHW Marketplace)
• Phone Verification by getsmscode.com (Make sure to use the Chinese Mobile API. It's the only option that actually works.)
• CPA offers by cpalead.com (I really didn't want to mess with any form of application quite yet. Still gaining confidence in my bullshitting skills.)
• Proxies by squidproxies.com (Found from BHW Marketplace)
• Hosting by servikus.com (Found from BHW Marketplace)
• Bot by Gram Multitool 2 (Found from BHW Marketplace)

You may have noticed by now that I want to stay using BHW marketplace providers whenever possible. I trust BHW far more than i'd ever trust random online reviews. Thank you marketplace for being kick ass.

I am starting out with 10 accounts and 10 proxies. I figured I might want to know how the bot works before adding more.

Any advice you could provide would be beyond appreciated. Thank you for following this journey. I don't know where exactly i'm heading but, it'll be a heck of a ride to get there.

Day 3:
I didn't make this start at day 1 because, honestly, I didn't intend to make this a journey at first. I didn't think I would be having this much fun with it. Anyways, back to it.

I had to sms verify every, single, account within the first like. I think I got an iffy set of proxies. One account seems to be completely shadow banned but, that was my "Try the craziest settings just to see what will happen" account. Kids, don't put a link in the bio on day one. The rest of the accounts are steadily doing diddly shit. I haven't changed a thing from the defaults that came with the accounts when I bought them on the other accounts. I figured I might want to wait at least a week.

• #4: Shadow Banned - Ughhhh
• #5: 4 Followers, 90 Followings
• #6: 17 Followers, 157 Followings

• #9 : 6 Followers, 85 Followings
• #10 : 2 Followers, 95 Followings

I don't understand the discrepancy seeing they are all running the exact same template. Perhaps a rose by any other name. I'm wondering how the default names of the accounts are affecting my results. This is already getting interesting.

GMT2 Is worth it. Bit of a learning curve though. Took me a while to understand the whole scraping thing. Kinda wish they had a better guide. Don't skimp on the bots man, you get what you pay for.

Yeah. Noob mistake there for sure. These accounts have been a bit of a pain to be honest. This is just me complaining but manually resetting the passwords from the accompanying Yahoo account is tedious. Additionally, I imagine Instagram flagged them for it. I imagine a pva account wouldn't have that problem. I'm buying pva next time.

Great man! Your going right

Day 3.5 Update: Normally I wouldn't update this much but, I think I've found an edge. After some (unwanted) council from a millennial "friend" who insists on screaming every word she said, I realized I was onto something. In her words "Oh. M. Geez. Why follow such a retarded Instagram account, who da heeellll would ever make a username like dat?. Like, toats ma goats. Sooo stupid." She was talking to her friend but, this is viable for us too. I'm not even going to attempt to decode this but, she's got a point. (It takes all kinds to fill up a university).

By changing the default, bot created name I've increased my followers by double in less than 3 hours.
For Example: (Names changed to protect the accounts) rachelgt42m1ll3r becomes raychill92. Easy right?

For the cherry on top, I uploaded the most stereotypical "basic" pictures I could find from a royalty free image site. Making sure to double check the permissions for no credit to photographer required and free for commerce. This added another 30%. Additionally, this also slowed down the rate at which Instagram has action blocked. I'm going to use this to try to trick Instagram into undoing their shadow ban. I'll keep you posted.

For my next experiment, instead of putting the link in the bio or the website section. I'm just going to watermark it on the profile picture instead. I need to get more reach before I can give this a fair trial though. I've also noticed some accounts separating out the letters in the potentially black listed word.

For Example: Giveaway becomes G I V E A W A Y <3 (The emoji is very important i'm sure)

I'm not sure how viable each one of these are but I'm planning on running them side by side with the traditional link in bio technique. Just to see what happens.

Day 4 Update:
This is moving along very slowly but i'm afraid to increase the aggression of my settings at this time. These are not aged accounts. I decided to test out some slightly more aggressive settings but, with far more random timing, on one of my accounts. The worst preforming one.

These more aggressive settings I have uploaded as a GMT2 template called "Alpha".
The settings I have been using since day one have been uploaded as a template called "Edit 1". An Edit of the GMT2 template "Warm Up1"

The shadowbanned account is showing improvement. I have gained 2 followers, and can like posts again. However, I still can not log in on the embedded browser. I can't call it unbanned but, I can't call it banned either. Insta-limbo maybe? Still, shows promise. I am still getting frequent action blocks but, only on the like module. Very frequent, once every 15 minutes. Perhaps this more random timing may help make it all look more natural. I'll keep you posted.

Day 5:
The more aggressive settings worked. I attempted to add my website to the bio of one of my lesser performing accounts, as an experiment. It appears that every, single, time, I attempt to edit even the smallest thing I get an action block. This is more annoying than anything. I'm going to continue to add the information slowly but surely and see if this account gets a shadow ban. If it doesn't, i'll proceed.

Day 6:
I am completely unable to get a link of any kind in the bio or website categories at all. Looks like they are onto my tricks. For science, I tried a variety of links. The spamiest of the spam, my own aged .com, and amazon.com. They don't even like the amazon homepage. Each time I attempt to add a link of any sort, I get an action block and, in two cases (the spammiest test subjects), captcha was required, then an immediate action block right after. Well played Instagram, well played but, two can play at this game and the ball is in my court. I've decided to test out 20 separate variants of my aged .com to see what triggers their spam filters and how quickly.

On the bright side, the more aggressive settings worked well. I'm upping the aggression once again today, a 5% increase but, even more sporadic timing. Let's see how far I can reasonably push it.

Just be sure that you will have to do a lot of trial and error unless u learn from others mistakes

The secret is to rest account for atleast 24 Hours, after adding link in the bio!

Also good solution is to use WEB 2.0 Prelander. Its super economical decision
