[Journey] My Journey from Zero Experience and $10K to Mastering GrayHat Traffic Arbitrage and Making a Ton of Money

My next thought: why rely on the casino for client info when I can collect it myself? With some effort and a few ChatGPT prompts, I created a simple, good-looking landing page. Yesterday, it went live, and I got some results.
Check with your AM if they even allow email traffic.

You are throving money into stove man.
Get glass of water and throw it into stove and calm down.

With your money you could have working business (SaaS) already but you are just wasting money on nonsense.

No offense.
What kind of saas can you buy with 10k?

Long time no see, folks!

So, here’s the tea: I spent three whole months trying to become a media-buyer from scratch. It was me, Facebook Ads, and a whole lot of trial and error. Spoiler alert: I failed. Took a break... and then quit.

Quit trying to figure it out on my own, that is. Instead, I decided to do the smart thing—hired actual FB media-buyers. I brought on three experienced pros, paying them $1–2k monthly plus a slice of the profits. Not only did I build a team, but I also got a front-row seat to how real media-buying magic happens.

Let’s talk results:

  • October: A modest $1k profit. Not mind-blowing, but hey, not a loss either.
  • November: Stepped it up to $1.3k profit. Progress!
  • December: Boom! Things suddenly clicked. Just a couple of days ago, we hit $1k profit in one single day. That’s the same amount I scraped together for all of October.
So, what changed? Here’s the secret sauce:

1. Pick casinos that play nice.

Not all online casinos are made equal. You NEED to partner with ones that:
a) Actually sell well.
b) Pay on time (duh).
c) Communicate like pros, not ghosts.
d) Have the funds to back their promises.

Miss any one of these, and welcome to headache central. Instead of media-buying, you’ll spend your days fixing problems, pausing campaigns, and chasing payouts. Say goodbye to optimization and hello to chaos.

2. Building a team ≠ just chilling together.

My team works online, so team-building isn’t exactly a round of beers after work. At first, everyone was like isolated little islands. But once we introduced weekly Zoom meetings, everything changed. Motivation shot up, collaboration improved, and—no joke—our results started to spike literally the day after our first e-meet. Moral of the story? Even virtual teams need that human connection.

3. Give it time.

Let’s be real—success doesn’t happen overnight. People need time to find their groove, and businesses need time to grow. I’m grateful I stuck it out for six months, even when it felt like nothing was working. Patience + persistence = profit.

So, what’s next?

Am I rolling in cash yet? Not quite. I haven’t recouped all my initial investments, but I’m finally seeing solid progress and have a clear roadmap ahead.

Here’s the bottom line: If I, a total noob six months ago, can figure this out, you 100% can too.

I’ll keep sharing updates as we grow. And hey—if you’re planning to hit up ICE in Barcelona 2025, let’s grab a coffee and chat about all things media-buying.

Hey man, what were the media buyers doing differently ? I imagine they are definitely not using whatsapp to connect with potential clients. More like having a pre landing that goes to the casino directly ?

Hey, no whatsapp since it bans numbers almost instantly. The funnel is quite simple, a PWA landing page (you can google and find a bunch of online constructor services for that, need a couple of bucks to start), then you redirect the customers to the online casino landing page. Always using postbacks to control what funnels give most registrations, deposits and redeposits.

I read through out your total journey. One thing just I wanna suggest which you should go and follow up those registration. Because sometimes they forget to deposite while postponding on registration phase. And when you follow up them make sure you are providing some personalization or offers or case study of successful shot. And if you got there emails that is your gold mine, nurture them properly.

By the way your journey and determination motivated me. Literally I noted down your step on my notebook to try such things in my niche. Thanks man to share your journey with us

Hi everyone,

Almost a year has passed, so I guess it’s a good time to keep this topic updated.

At least, to keep myself updated.

Around 6 months ago I quit traffic arbitrage. After one year of working in this field, only 2–3 months were really positive by ROI, and working 12 hours a day simply didn’t make sense anymore.

The biggest problem for me was the nature of the business. Once you stop grinding, the money stops too. Nothing stays alive by itself.

I also failed to find strong arbitrage media buyers. The market is not easy, especially for a media brand without strong PR support.

Now I’m focused on SEO and I see some positive signals already. It feels like a better foundation: slower, yes, but more stable, and not based only on everyday grinding.

With all the new AI tools, many things can be automated now.

For example, for building websites I use a simple flow:

Claude Code → GitHub → Cloudflare Pages

I’m also working on my own iGaming product.

The traffic arbitrage experience was not useless. I learned how some media buyers try to push bad traffic, and now I understand much better how to avoid this in my own product.

The only thing that stays the same is my will to never, ever, ever give up until I reach my goal.

I wish the same to you guys.

It's good to see an update after such a long time. I am just exploring BHW so it's nice to see that people stick around.
I guess that must have been an interesting experience.
What do you mean by now being more focused on SEO. Are you trying to grow organic traffic?
Is it still for the casino?

Yes exactly, organic traffic for the casino. The first two websites were published 3 weeks ago, and a few clicks already coming from google. Results are expected in 2-3 months, it's a long shot.
