Past Experience

Five years ago I started a website with a few articles. One or two of these articles ended up on page one of Google and I went on to sell the website after a few months of ownership for $400 (I wanted rid of the site).

My Current Sites

I have now created three new sites these will be affiliate marketing sites. So far all three sites have at least three articles in place and are aging.

In the future I will refer to these three sites as: Alpha, Beta and Sleeper.

1) Alpha - The site I will focus on the most
2) Beta - The site that will have the second most of my attention
3) Sleeper - This will get the least of my attention and will be more of a hobby until I get more content up on the first two sites

All sites will be monetised through Amazon, a related CPA offer and later on my own product.

Income Goals
I do not have any particular income goals for any of my sites. It would be great to make a full time living off of them but this will likely take a lot of time and effort.

Instead, I will list several potential achievements and see if and when I reach them.

First sale -
$100 Month -
$500 Month -
$1,000 Month -
$2,000 Month -
$5,000 + Month -
$10,000 + Month -

Motivation & Accountability
I am starting this thread to keep track of my progress, state my weekly goals in an attempt to adhere to them and be accountable for them.

Weekly Goals
Every week I will check in with changes I have made to my sites, say whether I achieved the weekly goal I set out and sign off with another weekly goal.

With that said, my goals for next week (3rd Feb) are to have the following tasks completed:

Alpha site: write 4 new articles, create images for the articles and have all 4 articles published

Beta site: write 3 new articles ready for publishing at a later date

That's all for now.
Over and out!

Good luck, are all of those 3 sites in different verticals/niches? Would be more interesting if you'd say at least generalized topics for each of your sites.
And what kinds of articles are you creating, is it based on keywords research and checking what's popular with your competitors or maybe news/popular topics related curated content?

Update 1
As suggested by Braindancer I will go into more detail about my sites. My Alpha (main site to focus on) is based on animals while my Beta and my sleeper sites are based on outdoor activities. One is in a sports niche and the other is more outdoor hobby related.

All articles created are using keywords I have found using my in house keyword tool. Since I am at the start of the website building stage, the articles I am creating are a mix of "how to" and low hanging fruit.

Did I complete the goal of week 1?
The goal of week one was completed :)

For Next Week
By Feb 10th, I aim to have the following completed:

Alpha (animal site) - have a further 4 articles completed and published. These articles will be supporting articles for the ones I created over the previous week. They will be important for linking to from the previously created articles and will be more informative in purpose rather than being created for making sales.

Beta (outdoor sports) - I would like to have a further 2 articles ready for publishing (I plan to do an article dump to launch the site in the future)

Sleeper (outdoor hobby site) - I plan on publishing 1 article for the site. Starting additional articles would be a bonus.
