So I was keen to start this pretty early as it feels like a good way to learn some lessons and share what I’m up to.
As I wrote in my introduction thread, I’ve been here before, got slapped by Google and then got a “proper” job, never to touch internet marketing again.
Last time I built a website in anger was 15 years ago and ranking was easy, now it seems to be a whole new game and I’m having to learn again.
But I need the money.
My goals for the next six months are simple
Initial ideas are:
Website #1 - AI Info Site
A fairly well known SEO on Twitter/X has been bragging about having $50K plus months so I tracked down the website using a few hint and checked out the stats using the free SEMRush account.
The site does rank pretty well and I can see there is potential for money there. I might spend a few quid and buy a copy of the accounts for the last financial year to confirm but for now this site is what I’ll base mine off.
Over a glass of wine or two last night I started to build the first tool in my new toolbox - an extract, load, transform (ELT) python script.
So far it grabs all the urls in a sitemap, scrapes the individual pages and writes the content to a database.
Minimal transformation so far, just replacing the target site domain with a random one and removing all references to the brand name and author.
Still to do for the MVP ELT script:
Additional things to look at will be automatically adding images and videos but that's for future versions.
Anyway, nothing much to really update but as I said up top, I just wanted to open this thread to keep track and share what I’ve been doing trying to make some money online.

- [ ] Understand the best way to process the text given the token limits
- [ ] Have the script automatically rewrite the content
