[JOURNEY] Long term authority site from zero to the sky

If you are building an authority site and its all white hat then you should be looking to drive traffic to it from any where possible...

Very very bad idea, "driving traffic from anywhere". I remember reading an article about google and site traffic and the conclusion was this: "if you own a kid toys blog/site, and you get traffic from a car site it does no good to you".

This is why google introduces the "disavow tool". I advise you to read too: http://searchengineland.com/not-all-bad-links-hurt-you-google-ignores-links-also-126349

Also, if your site is about kids toys and you have backlinks from chemistry.stanford.edu, it does no good to you, because is not related to your niche.

Goodluck OP. I hope you'll reach your goal. You can do it.

Thats why I said traffic not links ?

Anyway good luck with your journey. I genuinely wish you success I just dont understand the point of these journey threads where basically all you are saying is I installed a site. I put some articles up etc. I dont see whats in it for you or anyone reading the thread.

If you don't see the point of reading this thread, why did you read it ?

Well I read the thread because I am interested in authority sites. And after reading the thread I asked a question. Not sure why the question offended you and of course you dont have to answer anything, but you will find your thread will get more following if you engage with people.

I tried to engage, from my 9th post, I started to ask questions... but no one answered...

Unless you are running a blackhat site(which it obviously is not ) then you should make this a public thread and share your site. There are reasons why you might not want to do that but Rushdie shared his site from the off and hence drove a lot of traffic to it.

And thats what I asked. Genuine question not being snarky at all. I was just wondering, thats all.
