For many years using it and I realized I had to give it up because of the harms I overlooked in the past. In the past, I used them as a habit and used every spare time, usually 1-2 packs/day.
I will update this thread every 3 days about my journey to give it up

It's absolutely horrible and for me personally, it made me very tired and left me with a near constant cough.

I would highly recommend getting a discreet e-cigarette and buying nicotine salt.
It's better for the lungs and removes the urge to smoke real cigarettes, but it still gets me tired.
At least it's a step in the right direction.

Best of luck!

Good luck. I am trying for the third time to stop, first time I quit for 11 months, second for 7 months. After 4 years I now try to cut down the amount I smoke first and for 1 week I've stopped smoking regular cigarettes and now I smoke IQOS.

IQOS I believe is also as bad cigarretes, but I think it would be easier for me to reduce the amount to 5 - 10 cigarettes per day first, then only 3 per day (which is a solid goal for me now and smoke only while having my coffee, which is approx. 3 times per day.) - then try to completely stop.

I never understood hearing people say they smoke 1 to 2 packs a day.

How is that possible?

If you are awake 16 hours a day.

20 cigs per pack.

That is one cig every 48 minutes.

2 packs?

1 cig every 24 minutes.

Damn thats crazy if you smoked that much.

Good luck with your journey.

Focus on your breath.

Center yourself.

Use binaural beats.

Find inner peace.

You'd probably want to hear what someone that used to smoke and stopped has to say. In this case it's @proxygo

Insanely addictive habit.
Take one day, one hour, one minute at a time.
The true test, how will you cope when you are stressed?

it's not really a cigar, each cigarette in my country only takes 2-3 minutes

Wishing you all the best for this great journey.
I quit smoking several times, was very easy - not starting again was too hard for me.
Last time, 2 years ago, was with a hypnotic therapist - stopped smoking, started eating like hell.
And after several days and those 2 bottles of wine at the balcony I decided a slim body would be much more nicer than a fat one, when the dying age is the same :-)
All the best for you!!!

mines easy, i had a heart attack, doctor told me to stop
smoking as the smoke causes plaque in the arteries
so i quit, the end. been 7 and a half months since the attack
and also quitting the same month. i miss it, but not enough
for a 2nd heart attack anytime soon

When I was younger, I used to believe doctors who said that drinking and smoking is harmful, but then when I myself delved into the topic of medicine, I immediately realized that all doctors only want to get money from us, so they come up with different horror stories. Of course, I myself do not smoke and drink not so much, but even if I drank and smoked, my heredity would still play a role here and I could live a hundred years and even more. Everything depends for the most part on hormones that control our body and to a lesser extent on bad habits. Stress affects our body much more than nicotine. This has long been scientifically proven!

try to reduce exposure. Remove the cues of your somking habits from your environment.
good luck!!

Wish you a good luck.
I'm also addicted to nicotine. (I don't smoke it, I keep it behind my lips)
I want to get rid of it since it cause fatigue.
It kills the productivity. It also cause bad effect on our memory power.

Update #1 :
It's been 15 hours since I touched my last cigarette. My hands are a bit uncomfortable, my mouth is quite dry and I crave smoke: 3. I will try some snacks to forget
