Feeling really unmotivated these past couple months so this my way of making sure im making positive steps to improvement... welcome to my mad lil world... ps this is long and disorganized as hell
Background:
Have been in im for past 12 years off and on. At my peak 5 years ago I was producing 4k USD a month from one method., would like to get back to that. I live near San Francisco and work in one of the shittiest jobs in Tech... Sales lol
Past 8 months or so have been brutal IM and career wise.
I got laid off twice (January, April) and my current startup is switching me over to prodops effectively immediately.
My IM income has gone down to practically $0 as well.
Ebay partner network = $900 in September, now is $8, due to sharp cut in rates and google update in may.
Amazon = $300 in March, now $0 due to rate cut and may update.
Udemy = $100 in April, now banned
Amazon KDP = $50 in February, now $1 due to best seller being demonetized and taken off platform.
What do I have:
Enough money to pay the bills until November
$400 budget for all my Im projects, anything I make will go back into this budget.
Two methods that get me guaranteed inbox on cold emails, no spam. If i can get this method right, i can get very good repeatable income.
Homemade chrome extension to determine dropshipping profits on ebay
600 AI-generated designs using my own software. It scrapes the web to make sure there is no copyright infringement.
basic WordPress skills to build and maintain websites
A horde of ebooks on IM methods, some churn and burn, others may me be more sustainable, will have to put my own twist on them.
What will I be doing?
Any Im method whether churn and burn or long term as long as its not illegal.
try to go more technical in my career route - either engineering , product management or VC.
Literally throwing pasta on the walls to see what sticks.
Day 1 things I did today:
Got a new client from local business, small quick job of $50 to purchase and install a plugin. Thanks to @Festinger and his vault ill be able to make some money on this one, should pocket $25-30 after expenses.
Attempted to apply for approval to amazon merch, they're currently not accepting submissions, will wait until they open up so i can start uploading my designs.
Applied for an ebay seller account.
Created a medium account to use as a parasite, no longer accepting partner program
Applied to Postmates to do food delivery to hopefully extend my cash past November or make soem urgent repairs to my car.
Booked a meeting with a product management Bootcamp as well as a meeting with coding Bootcamp run by an Indian staffing agency. By next week ill start with either one or both of their programs. I am tired of sales, due to instability and falsehood of commissions.
Applied to Fiverr as a vendor, waiting for approval. Offering wordpress services
Going through all my Im methods I have for some churn and burn so I can pay for my cold email method and get that going, infrastructure costs for cold email list is $1k a month.
I started working on building my own scraper to get leads from IG and Facebook, this software will be a couple weeks out at best.
Lets see where I end up...
