I am currently 22 years old in college with no direction. Not 100% sure what I want to be and what I want to do with my life. I been looking a lot into internet marketing and trying to learn as much as can. I started a website and its more than just a money making site to me its sort of a blog. A place where I can post about a thing that I love a lot in life which is video games.

I don't have some magical earnings per day in my head. At this point my site is 1 month old and I am working heavily on SEO. So me earning a penny is the last thing on my mind. My short term goal is to start ranking in google. Which I am looking to do in a couple of months hopefully by the fall season I will be earning some kind of organic traffic its really discouraging to write post know people aren't going to read it.

My long term goal is to start money from the site whether its from CPA or affiliating marketing I also want to looking into some adsense alternatives I just don't have the kind of traffic to get accepted into any networks.

This whole internet marketing thing really makes me feel like I created something special and I see a lot of potential in the scheme of things I will probably post a update around the fall. I plan on working this whole spring/summer. I actually applied to the physical therapist assistant program for the fall but still not really sure what I want to do. I just want to save as much money as possible in these incoming months and reinvest it into my site.

Who knows maybe at the end of my journey I will even have a college degree :)

Everything is in such a early stage right now I mean it could take years to get the traffic that I see fit to start monetizing.

Good luck Zzbey. There is a lot of useful information on here, but don't get lost :) Focus on building the blog and learning SEO is a good way to start. I failed many times by focussing too much on EARNINGS! You can't have it all in the first week(s) :). Maybe you could try to use a Keyword finder and base your articles on long-tail keywords. You could write blogs about that. In this case, you already start combining writing with SEO. This might help you in the future.

For example:
9 Really Basic Beginner's Tips For Starting Out In PUBG
(PUBG is very popular, maybe another game would do better... but this the first thing which came up in my mind)

Or just rip content from video's of popular YouTube gamers and convert them into text for a blog. Just some simple thoughts. Anyway Good Luck ! Edit: Actually this is a good idea for anyone, i'm going to try this for my own blogs :p

Thank you for the advice your example was better than some of the post that I have made so far. I have been using long tail keywords but I feel like they are still to general like for example Player unknown battle ground tips and tricks. I used this one I can imagine it been some decent competition to rank for that one but I haven't did alot of research into my keywords I just been focusing on writing post. I just got a account with ahrefs and been using there service to see where my site stands compare to similar sites.

Hi Zzbey,

I'm 20 year old and looking to get into college soon. But that sense of having no direction can be scary sometimes. I know it has me sleepless a lot of days recently. But hopefully with time, we'll find a direction we can enjoy.

Anyway, I just wanted to tell you good luck on your journey on both the college and IM. Here's a link to https://www.digitalmarketer.com/blog-post-ideas/ to get your idea juices flowing. Hope it helps.
