I love writing horror content and I've started a few horror related story websites that are on WordPress. It's difficult to get the SEO going on these stories because they are mainly stories and nothing is really repetitive in the content. It's not like using main keywords for get rich quick websites or anything and they definitely are not PLR. I write about 1200 to 3000-word stories once or twice a week that are mostly fiction, some are based on true stories and spin offs while others are just thoughts in my weird head. I then tell them on my podcast and youtube channel.
I want to translate these stories in other languages on the website (not the podcast or youtube) so I'm going to do so by creating new posts and putting them into a category under the language they're in. The translation will not be done with a plugin, I will be using software to translate the stories but these will be real posts. At the moment I'm not really concerned if the stories are that accurate in the translations yet, I want to see if it attracts google. I don't have the money to pay someone to translate them nor use that plugin that is available but I think a real copy of the stories as opposed to being created on the fly using a plugin would be better appreciated by google.
Right now I am not putting ads although there are links to other sites of mine that do have ads in them. If this works then I will be doing the same with those stories. Yes, I am trying to make money with this but I would also love it if people from other countries enjoyed my work.
That would be a major bonus and make me very happy! I am hoping that google does not treat the multiple languages as duplicate content. I think it would be crazy to even consider it that because I am entertaining people from different parts of the world and possibly putting adsense or other ads on the site as a bonus. I really want others to enjoy the stories, buy print copies from amazon if they like, and if Google can't see this then what is the point of google? If they go so far as to not allowing me to entertain the world in their native tongue then the company has gone too far in their efforts to stop people from trying to manipulate their system as it would be hurting others. Google should like this. It isn't manipulation, it is diversity.
I am not sure what I'm supposed to upload here. Charts from Jetpack on a weekly basis? Should I even use jetpack or google webmaster to get the results or AWSTATS from my provider? Google has changed so much since I stopped using it awhile back I'm not even sure what to do anymore with google webmaster or analytics and looks completely different and confusing now.
