[JOURNEY FINISHED, Q&A inside] PART 2: Dropshipping Journey to a Consistent $10k per Month

VALUE BOMB: MY EPACKET COUNTRY LIST

guys, here is my epacket country list. this is the list i've been using lately:

United States
Ireland
Italy
Japan
Mexico
Netherlands
New Zealand
Norway
Canada
Singapore
Spain
Sweden
Switzerland
Turkey
United Kingdom
Israel
Finland
Denmark
Belgium
Greece
Australia
Thailand
Austria
Russia
Poland
Portugal
Hungary
France
Germany
Ukraine

i target no territories in this list. so make sure that after you cut and paste it into facebook ads, you go back and remove the territories and minor countries. you should have 40 countries total. no brazil since they have this weird thing where you need the customer's tax number to ship to them

update: i'll be turning on my ads but using a supplier in the USA. targeting only US with my duped CBO. and manually fulfilling orders. this is a temporary solution for the next month

The US campaign I ran on Facebook ads produced shit results. I’m deciding to shelve drop shipping entirely until my supplier can ship again. They say feb 8-10 but I don’t believe it. It looks like things will just get worse. Seems like only the beginning for this virus

Well, gotta find some other way to make money. Can’t just sit around and wait. Was fun drop shipping. Was so close to making this work too. But nothing I can do. Corona virus fucked it all up. Can’t make a profit if I can’t ship out to several countries around the world

I’m gonna take a look and see what the next hot thing to do for money is. Maybe affiliate marketing, idk

I work with over 300 usa/uk based dropshippers so the products are already in country. Would you like me to see if they have your product?

I found my product on eBay. The problem is I can’t advertise to all epacket countries on Facebook. US supplier can only ship within the US. I tried to run ads just targeting US and the costs are too high, 0 purchases after $60 spend. I rly don’t think it’s possible without China epacket shipping. Unfortunately

i'm spending the weekend learning how to do shopify + printful. basically doing research to find winning designs and asking a designer to create something original for me. make a 1 product store with the t shirt and then advertise it with FB ads like i've been doing with dropshipping. obv a t shirt doesn't solve a problem, but maybe if i create something unique enough people will buy and it'l be profitable. i have a lot of learning to do, so i'll be watching videos on youtube for the next few days. by wednesday or thursday if my agent doesn't update what's happening on corona virus then i'm gonna start a print on demand store

corona virus looks like it's just getting worse. i'm expecting on feb 8-10 that they come out and say china can't go back to work for months. so yeah, basically finding some other way to make money now. if there is another delay, which i think there will be, i'll begin the process of shutting down all my stores with the exception of my latest one. basically quitting aliexpress + shopify dropshipping and moving onto something else

i still have my llc and sales tax permit i need to shut down. the sales tax permit i may be able to use in the future. the llc i don't want to close it yet, once i make a replacement llc i will close this original one. cause i'm still trying to change the business name on my credit card and closing this llc may fuck that up

You might want to approach POD differently than you did with dropshipping. Having a one design/product store might not be the best way to go about it.
You want a variety, create a brand around your designs.
Pick a niche and brainstorm.

Goodluck!

why won't a 1 product POD store work? can't see why not. would basically be like drop shipping. i plan to make fb video slideshow ads, showcasing the design on a mock up. general niches that a lot of people like, particularly pets. dogs, cats, horses. i'm thinking that it'll be easier to scale with pets. i've considered sports like surfing t-shirts but i don't think the audience is big enough on facebook ads to be worth it

You take the store url and you add /collections/all.atom
For example, if your competition store url is https://supermegagreatgadgets.com
you enter https://supermegagreatgadgets.com/collections/all.atom
it doesn't work for all shops (some shops use some code tricks to keep people from spying) but works for most.
Basically go to https://myip.ms/, in the IP owner/parent section search "Shopify", it will then give you a list with the most popular Shopify stores, search stores within your niche and do the commafeed trick to spy on them.

for what can i use this ?

i have tons of aliexpress orders in waiting status.
Clients are angry. And why not, they have to wait 2 months to maybe receive order.

please if someone is reading this and thinking to start dropshipping from aliexpress, dont do it! Trust me

If you make any progress with your printful idea let us know for sure.

I'm working on creating merchandise to monetize a few Instagram accounts, and directing traffic to a store with relevant clothing designs is one of my main ideas.

I've been thinking along the same lines as you were earlier in your journey when it comes to building out a proper brand with true staying power. It's a hard problem to approach without a lot of design or industry experience, which is part of what attracted me to your journey thread. It's a lot easier to find an item people are already proven to purchase, and build around that.

Clearly that approach comes with its own risks like what you've encountered, which is making me hesitate about the direction to take.

Either way keep going, and let us know how you're doing!

UPDATE:

formed a new LLC. here is a list of other things i need to do:

1) file new sales tax permit
2) close old llc
3) get an ein
4) fax chase bank with information to change name
5) install and set up taxjar
6) maintain quickbooks

i updated my paypal and fb business acc with the details and logo of my new company. also optimizing my credit cards. canceling one i have and trying to get a new one

all of this should take me 2 weeks to complete. which is perfect because i should be safe to start running ads at that time. this month is really just about prepartion and optimizing everything for when it's time to sell

Hey, Did corona virus stopped having an impact on the dropshipping commerce ?

Sorry I came late. New member here. Read your previous journey, read all the pages. I am so motivated and inspired right now. I am following this thread and will come here everyday. Best of luck. :)

I'll do my own journey. :)

UPDATE:

i restarted my ads for my product that I thought was a winner 1 month ago. But unfortunately the results were terrible. It sucks, thought I had a winning product. But it’s back to testing as usual

Probably gonna start immediately once I get home from work today. Testing a new site will cost me $30 Shopify + $14 domain + $100 ads

gonna just go down the list like I was doing. Test each product, one by one

no idea how long this’ll take. But there’s nothing I can do. I’m not naturally talented. So I can’t just pick out specific products and go with them. I have to literally test everything until something works. It’s gonna be expensive, tiresome, and very workful. But I have no choice
