[JOURNEY FINISHED, Q&A inside] PART 2: Dropshipping Journey to a Consistent $10k per Month

UPDATE:

so i've tried for almost a month now to bring it back. doesn't look like it's happening. really tried and tested like a mother fucker. different creatives, different ad strategies, tried going back to my old strategy that was profitable, still nothing. i'm gonna start canceling the subscription services and stripping the store to the bare bones. i'm gonna leave the store live and pump no traffic to it. i'm gonna see if it can still become profitable with no facebook ads. if the store can sustain its costs with no funding then i'll leave it running and just reap the profit. make it like a side job to fulfill orders and answer inquiries

the next product i select needs to have potential to be turned into a multi million dollar company. the goal is to select a high ticket winning product, about $50-60, create a site, brand it out, and assume i'm going to make a living off of it. eventually i'll get my own fulfillment centers and buy wholesale from my agent. i'll store the product in my own centers and brand out the packaging. this will solidify me as a business. my original idea was to go to a manufacturer and get them to "improve" my product. but why do that when i can cut that step out, just select a multi million dollar product from the get go, and have my agent basically provide the product for my company. the products will ship from china, i store them and sell them at faster shipping.

sounds like it can work. first i need the winning product and hopefully my agent can found all the product for a multi million dollar store

let's do this

UPDATE:

well it's been almost 3 weeks since my last update. i've still been working hard with no big success as of yet. since i had to stop my first store i made 3 stores after that. i made these in rapid succession of each other, basically testing and trying to comb through products until i found one that worked. this didn't work out as i expected. the first store i made 7 sales but overall was not profitable so i had to stop that store. my 2nd store i made 0 sales, product was a total fail and turns out has 0 buyer potential. the 3rd store i'm working on now and made 3 sales but below break even. still struggling with the ads. the ad costs are too high. the product should be a winner because i sourced it directly from the facebook feed. i'm testing using a similar style that i had with my first product. i'm testing various interests right now

wish i could have success already. i had to cut down on my traveling and spending. i miss the life i was living a few months ago. traveling, making money, having fun. now i'm struggling. shit sucks. but hopefully i can get my life back

i'll continue to test this third store. i think it should work if i can get the target audience down. i need a strategy that can allow me to consistently crank out profitable stores. there should be a way to turn this product into a winner, i just haven't found that out yet. will continue to see where things take me. will also go back and reread my last journey

i'm thinking about starting a new store. i sourced a product from ecomhunt and think it will do well since it's not as known. the problem with sourcing from the facebook feed is that a lot of people have already seen the winning product... literally people have commented on my ads "never received yet". meaning they have seen my ad before and are confusing it with another store

i think the idea is to promote hot products for 3 months and once people have gotten use to seeing the item and buying, move to a different product

It seems like you should try a different approach. Why not pick a niche you like and are knowledgeable about and focus on building a brand around that instead of trying to find this magical "winning product." I mean as you've seen focusing so much on just one product is kind of short sighted. With a niche you could build a up a social following, email list and data. So that when you do find a product that sells you can ride the wave till it stops. Then use what you've already built and retarget to them with other products. You'll have a reputation and a bunch of people who already trust you instead of starting from scratch every time or hopping that your one product keeps selling.

Hey, I definitely recommend the "organic" approach.
As I lately got into TikTok I was very surprised how much Organic Traffic you can get from there. Create (or let create) Short funny/simple videos about your products and say something about your domain (has to be short that even lazy people search it) or link to your Instagram page and promote it heavily. If you build your Brand on Instagram you can easily direct them to your store. Organic traffic is, in my opinion, a way more worth than paid traffic.
Look at gymshark, a big part of their traffic is organic trough their social media page and a lot of influencers (which is kind of paid )

wow wow l can believe this . you are just wonderful with your strategies l cant just believe this awesome motivation

Good luck with that my man! I hope you turn things around and make stuff happen. I'm also about to start a dropshipping journey so hopefully we can learn from each other...

Finally someone who's using snapads and actually generate some sales?

can you please give us more details about how were u able to get sales on snapchat? i have spent so far 100$ and no sales so far ( i have over 20k$ in sales in total in my store ) im sure the problem isn't the product/price but any tips on how u set up ur ads on snapchat? would be much appreciated OP !
Thanks & good luck in sales

With this motivation you have, I'm sure you'll find the way to steady profit.
Two questions:
1. How long does it take you to build one product store each time? isn't that a pain in the ass?
2. What do you think about native ads and push notifications as traffic sources?

UPDATE

i've been trying for 2 fucking months now and i can't get anything to work. i tested 5 products/stores and all of them i couldn't make it become profitable. i spent almost 2k in ads on one store but still was under breaking even

it's so fucking frustrating and i am so fucking pissed off. i was making $2-3k per day easy fucking mode months ago. making so much profit, having so much fun, traveling, living life. BUT NOW I'M FUCKED AND HAVE NOTHING. I CAN'T MAKE ANYMORE FUCKING MONEY. NOTHING FUCKING WORKS. I'M AT $0 PER DAY ALL OVER AGAIN CAUSE ALL MY FUCKING STORES FAIL

it's so fucking annoying and shit i just turned off all the fucking ads on all my stores. fucking this shit is annoying as fuck i just can't look at this shit for the next 3 days. like just fuck the stores and fuck the ads for like a week and just do something else with my life or go watch more youtube videos or something cause this is fucking a joke. everyday i run ads and hope that the next day will be better and i will see profits but it's the same fucking shit each time. just negative bullshit and high cost per content views each and every fucking time. how the FUCK did i even do my last journey, holy shit did i get really fucking lucky because this is just stupid fucking hard. i could create 5 or 10 more 1 product stores if i want to. it's not gonna fucking help though. it's always the same, the same fucking stupid results. i need a fucking breakthrough, FUCK THIS

i have until feburary 1st to make a decision. that's when my subscriptions will auto renew for my stores. that's when i have to decide if i want to keep these stupid fucking stores. will probably shut them all fucking down cause i'm sick of this bull shit. my main store that use to be winning doesn't even make money anymore. like $150 a month it's fucking pathetic.

fuck this, i fucking hate this shit

I have been following your journey on and off since the beginning and its not only you after seeing many people do dropshipping they all end up at this point i did not understand why until i saw a few of them who were doing something bit different.
I might be completely wrong but here's what i think the next step of yours should have been after you were successful with your store.
You should have found few more products similar to the ones you had and should have built a small community or company around it and done some re-targeting (emails or social media).
The only few long-term successful business i've seen online who do dropshipping do this. They know a product only runs for a while so they jump to another one in the same niche and promote to their previous customers.
So if you haven't already try to find a market before a product and build your store with products which suit that market.
If you solely depend on the right product it'll only sell for a while but if you carve out a slice for yourself in a market i think you'll have good stability, It maybe won't make you 4 figures a day but it'll keep you in green consistently.

WHEN YOU WILL LITERALLY DO ANYTHING FOR A RESULT:

i started doing some really stupid shit. i realize that the big problem why all my stores fail is because of my creative. i've tested so many creatives and different types of creatives. standard dropshipping ads with the text overlay. shorter ads with a few looping frames. different first 3 second clips. all of that has failed. all the ads i put out for these stores, have FAILED. doesn't matter what clips i use, what first 3 seconds, whatever. the average video watch time would ALWAYS be 3-6 seconds

in short, my creatives are SHIT. i don't even know what a good creative is. everything i touch turns to shit. to me, a creative should never be able to get more than 6 seconds average watch time. because that's all i get, all the time

so in an attempt to solve this, i'm doing the most random and dumb shit. for example, i just put up an ad of me DRAWING shit. yes, i literally DREW stick figures and shit with pen and paper, scanned it, and combined the pictures to make a comic/video. it's so fucking ridiculous what i did. but i'm literally desperate. i will try anything

fuck i don't know how this ad is gonna do. could fail like all the others, get avg 3 second watch time, everyone ignores it, that's it. so we'll see. right now it's in fucking review. will continue to brainstorm different ways i can put an ad to people.

FUCK

You take the store url and you add /collections/all.atom
For example, if your competition store url is https://supermegagreatgadgets.com
you enter https://supermegagreatgadgets.com/collections/all.atom
it doesn't work for all shops (some shops use some code tricks to keep people from spying) but works for most.
Basically go to https://myip.ms/, in the IP owner/parent section search "Shopify", it will then give you a list with the most popular Shopify stores, search stores within your niche and do the commafeed trick to spy on them.
Maybe the shops that hide their fees are better due to the owners taking care of that.

Well i see you are following gabriel st germain's guides on dropshipping. You mentioned that you read his free course only. I suggest getting your hands on private one where he explains all about creatives and small details your probably missed out and got lucky with on your first store that worked out. Message me if you need help acquiring it

UPDATE:

i think... my new creative is working? ads just started running. so far $1.50 spend in and the results are looking REALLY good...

can't believe it. i'm making ads by drawing dumb stick figures with pen and paper.. and uploading it lol.. and people are watching. it's crazy. i guess my drawing skills can actually make me money, wow

update: here are results

video is 26 seconds long. wow
