️️ [Journey] Creating a channel from scratch, 1st goal: monetization.

Well, people, it's time for me to get serious about YouTube, so I've started to put in the work and began researching interesting niches. Once I dug deeper, I found a very interesting sub-niche. I'll share an image from vidiq so you can see what I'm talking about.

That being said, I began to delve further into the little competition I saw and started doing keyword searches. Out of the 100% of words I found within that sub-niche, I could say that 70-80 words have low search competition but very high search volume.



In addition to that, I started watching the competition's videos, and I can definitely make better ones, or at least that's what I believe. Because everything will depend 100% on the audience; without them, it doesn't matter if my video is well-edited since no one will see it.

My idea is to create a completely disruptive channel within the sub-niche. I've thought of an idea to give a good twist to the niche. No channel in the niche has done what I want to do, which is why I think it's going to be a good idea. We'll see; only time will tell.

Now I want to tell you about some things I have and what I still need to do and ask for some advice.

Firstly, to let you know, I have set up the channel with its banner, logo, description, tag configurations, uploading descripcion settings, etc., and I also have 100 shorts ready to upload. I plan to upload at least 2 shorts per day.

I have created an introductory video about what my channel will offer to the community, but right now I have a doubt. I'm not in a position to pay a professional voiceover for my videos since it would be extremely costly, considering each long video will have durations of 6 to 10 minutes. I've been looking at AI voice websites and tried one, but I didn't like the voices. It's worth noting that my channel will be in Spanish, which is why I've had a hard time finding a good AI voice with the right accent. Anyway, I found a website that offers really good Spanish voices with some emotions. I've also been recording with my own voice, but I really don't like how it sounds, and I believe it might not convey the emotion I'm aiming for in my channel. What do you think? Should I try AI or record with my voice? It's important to note that all the competition channels use human voices, something to consider.

Right now, the only thing holding me back is finding the right voice, honestly, because I need to make a decision and start recording the long videos.

I also have a TikTok account to upload the 100 shorts and drive traffic to YouTube. I'll leave this social network a bit to chance because I've never used it to upload content, but I don't think it will be that complicated, to be honest.

I have created 15 thumbnails that are templates, where I just need to change images and texts.

I also purchased a domain with the channel name, anticipating that if the channel becomes successful, the domain won't be stolen. I only paid $10 for a year, but I don't plan to use that domain at the moment.

My plan is to upload the shorts and hope that generates traffic. As for the long videos, I'm already in several Facebook groups to post them. I plan to upload 5 per week, although it will all depend on how the first one goes and how long it takes to create them. I hope to have the time to make a daily video, and if not, then upload every other day, regardless of whether it's Saturday or Sunday.

Well, I think that's all I have for now. What's urgent for me right now is to decide whether to use an AI voice or my own voice, keeping in mind that all the competition channels use human voice.

All new, I did with chatgpt and canva, put in YT how to create 100 shorts with canva in3 min something like that.. them I download the shorts and one by one editing with a soft and add some audios, transitions etc and all shorts have a final CTA

Alright folks, I'm updating the topic.

To discuss a bit about what I've done, since the last post, I focused on creating the long video. In the end, I made the decision to use my own voice. Choosing the artificial voice would result in a monthly bill of about $200 for what I need, and at this point, spending that money on this project doesn't seem sensible to me. So, I opted to use my own voice. After researching voices by watching videos on YouTube, I started practicing a voice that I really liked and decided to use it for the videos.

Started recording the script I had. It took me around 2 to almost 3 hours to record a script for an 11-minute video. I know, it was too much time, but it was the first time. I've established the parameters to follow to improve the audio quality, and I know how to perform the voice. Anyway, I hope that for the next recording, it will take me less than an hour.

Regarding the video, once I had the recording ready, I started editing the video. I've been editing videos for years, but never at a pro level, just for passing the time and such. The thing is, this year I have dedicated a lot of time to making videos because I started creating ads for affiliate marketing and other YouTube channels (unsuccessfully). However, in my mind, I wanted to create videos different from what I was used to, so I started watching videos on YouTube, mainly to study the effects they used and such. To not bore you, hehe, the video took me almost 12 hours to complete. I'm not sure if it was too much time for the final result, but honestly, it's a video that I watch several times and I think it looks good. Not as professional as others, but at least it's a good video and it's entertaining, which is what I aim for.

Yesterday, I uploaded my videos for the first time. In the morning, I uploaded a 1 minute and 10-second video, which is the channel introduction, to pin it on the main page. I also uploaded a short to promote the channel. In the afternoon/evening, I uploaded the long video, 10 minutes duration, along with a similar short to promote it. In both cases, for the short videos, I also uploaded them on TikTok to redirect traffic to the YouTube channel.

Today, almost 24 hours since the first upload of the introductory video, the YouTube channel doesn't have any subscribers yet. It has 18 views across all the videos, including 2 long videos and 3 shorts.

On TikTok, for the 2 shorts, one has 158 views and the other 140.

I just uploaded the first short of the series of 100 shorts that I have ready. I plan to upload a couple of these daily. My idea with this is to gain followers, and if someone likes it and goes directly to the channel, they can at least see that there is a video lasting more than 10 minutes, hopefully starting to generate traffic.

To be honest, I'm liking how I'm organizing the channel. Let's see what happens with time. For now, I need to write the script for the next long video today. I hope that, now that I have a bit more direction in my editing, it won't take as long. I would hope that each long video takes me at least 5 hours to create.

Well, folks, it's time for a little update, to be honest, I don't see the project in a positive light, unfortunately.

I can tell you that when it comes to recording and editing, I've improved incredibly. My first video took, if I'm not mistaken, more than 10 hours to make, and the last one I did, I managed to complete in 4 hours. However, the numbers don't reflect all the work I've put into it so far.

In the images, you can see the number of long videos I have on the channel, but the views are really disappointing. As for the shorts, I've uploaded around 30, but they don't get more than 10 views, and some even have no views at all.

For now, I'll keep uploading videos. The dilemma here is to truly know when it's time to either leave the channel or keep going. Only time will tell.

My strategy for promoting the channel on social media is a complete failure. In Facebook groups, the administrators delete my posts, so it's challenging, and the posts that aren't deleted don't generate traffic. I had 4 subs and 44 total videos
