This is more of a testing and learning exercise. I want to see what I'm doing right and wrong in a very competitive niche (finance).
Any money I make here is just a side benefit.

What I have:
1. Registered a deleted 2 word domain (surprised it was available as the name is quite good and it has some links), $9. DA8 PA17.
2. I have hosting, so I don't need to pay anything extra... use CloudFlare for free as well.
3. Content - free. Content is from some old article directories, 1k+ words per article on average. Have about 1,000 articles but I'm not going to post all of them at once.

What I Want to Learn and Test:

1. Indexing. Site went online on 24/12/2021 within a few days added 40+ articles. How long will it take google and bing to index those articles?
The answer is here... practically all articles are indexed in google now (28/12) and I did NOTHING to index them. Very fast indexing and I have no idea why.
Bing hasn't indexed anything, so I bought 1k nofollow blog comments to help Bing.

2. When will google de-index site?
Too early to say.

3. Articles. As I said, articles come from article directories (most of them are not indexed any more but back in the day people used to copy and paste from article directories). So some articles are not unique and I'm NOT spinning them. I want to see how google will treat these articles and if they manage to rank for anything.

4. Will I be able to rank for anything? I hope to rank for some very easy keywords and then use those keywords for a real project.

This test/journey cost me $10 in total and I post more articles (copy&paste) when I'm bored and have nothing to do so this is a "free" test for me.

Ideally, I want to get a list of easy keywords and see what articles google likes and why from this project.

Fun experiment.
Will follow to see how it goes.

Have you considered this for indexing on bing?

So far no luck in google... just 2 impressions. But I need to give it time.
yesterday, I indexed everything in bing (by submitting everything in bing webmaster tools)... need to see over the weekend (my server said I had 7 visits from bing).
I'll update on Monday and will include both bing and google.
78 articles posted so far... want to see what's going on before i post more.

As I was expecting... I'm nowhere to be found on google.

But...
I decided to index it on Bing as well and Bing fared considerably better:

So far it looks like it's going to be another site which will have some traction only in Bing but it's too early say now as google (and bing) need more time.

A few points to add:
1. Now and then I get free review copies here and I'll use some of those review copies on this site, maybe links will help a bit?
2. I'm using article directories and they tend to have many similar articles so I created another blog in another language (auto translate with yandex and post, I found yandex translate to be better than google and bing, strange). And on top of it, I'm using some of those articles on reddit as well to promote my subreddit. So basically, I'm trying to use as many articles as i can on different projects. This site has 83 articles now.

I have a few small projects I use for testing and learning and this is no exception. Even if it doesn't work I lose nothing ($10) but the test data and information I will get I will use on my main projects.

You should get a foundation links package to the homepage. That always helps with such sites

Did you check the domain if it has any spammy backlink?

Did you check the domain if it has any spammy backlink?
Yes, it's clean.
I think the articles are the problem. Domain had some decent content (5-10 articles) but I could only take 2 articles from the wayback machine. It used to have about 200 keywords ranking in top 100 (according to semrush).
With google, I need some patience and see how it goes... I lose nothing as the domain is mine for a year anyway.

Actually curious now what bing will do.

Yes, I'm getting some links to the site, mainly PBN.

Good luck with your journey

Are you changing article titles to match your keywords?
Only doing very subtle changes to the titles and text.
Most articles (from article directories) don't have headings so most of the time I add keyword-rich headings.
Basically, I try to spend as little time as possible here and see what will happen.
Remember... my ultimate goal is to get some easy keywords for my main projects.

There are some discrepancies when it comes to traffic from search engines.
GSC shows no clicks but my server shows a bit of clicks from Google, don't know what to make of it.
