I have a micro niche site that was hit with a penalty from G.
The site still has a little traffic (10 visitors a day max) but most of the main keywords are long gone.
I really like the niche however, and think there is a lot of money to be made from affiliate sales etc, so I decided to register a new site, 301 any useful pages to the new site (content included), then build an authority site around the old content, covering the wider niche.
To be honest this thread is inspired by Rushdie, I was planning to reveal all the details, but now I see he locked his thread after getting a lot of abuse
So now I'm still debating over that one.
Anyway, my long term plan is slightly different, and is as follows:
1.Build a new site in Wordpress, installing a theme that allows for a large navigation - so I can produce a wide variety of sub sections to the site, covering a wide niche.
2.301 my old MNS to the appropriate section in the new site and track these old niche keywords - this is a little sub experiment to see if I can recover the penalised site in this way.
3.built a solid contents steadily over time- I will write some of this myself, but I will probably buy a lot of the content from Bhw- ill but a mixture of quality, depending on the desired content, and my budget.
3.to cover the monetization I will think of a general area/aspect of the niche, then do keyword research in order to write a valuable article- I may also reverse this; finding an affiliate product first, then keyword research and write the article based on that sellable product.
4.For Seo I will also use services from Bhw - I have a list of services that work well for me, so ill try and target 5/6 main keywords per article, and purchase services accordingly.
5.quality will be my main focus - no fake followers or anything like that, high quality content wherever possible, and Seo services will be high quality, low volume and plenty of anchor diversity.
So far I have purchased the domain, probably leave the WP template acquisition and 301 redirect of old site until Boxing Day.
