Journey back to 10$ a day

Hey everyone,

thank you for reading my thread, let me tell you something about me to start off. I'm from Germany and the last time I was active was in 2013 when I reached my 20$ a day goal with a few adsense blogs.

Sadly I lost all of them after switching to a new SEO provider, who managed to get them all deindexed fairly quickly. I was disappointed to say the least and decided to quit after failing at getting them back up and running.

But I've had this itch in my fingers to start fresh for a few months now and will finally take action again. This time however, I will not rely on anybody else and will try to do/learn everything myself. That means I will try to create my own little PBN of at first 5 sites and will write most of the content myself since german content is costly as hell.

I've read much about PBN's in the last couple of days and also searched through some german seo boards. There however, is not much reliable info on PBN's to find and most threads there described PBN's as the literal devil. I will try it anyhow and be as careful as possible. You can always hit me up along the journey if you happen to see that I did something wrong.

I prepared two money site domains beforehand and will try to reach the 10$ a day goal again in the foreseeable future.

One domain was set up 6 months ago with some light scheduled content. The keywords are light to medium and besides some social signals no backlinking was done. The site is getting some (very) light google traffic of about 10 per day.

The second domain was set up one month ago with about 8000 words of content and is located in a different niche. I already wrote another 13 articles with about 11000 words and will publish those along the way. The keywords are slightly easier and should rank with a light push and more fresh content.

Well that's about it I guess, I have two blogs set up and quite a bit of content prepared. The next thing I will be looking into is acquiring old german domains for the PBN. Since I don't own a credit card I can't use Majestic or similiar paid services. German brokers are out of the question too, since the prices here start at about 50 per (not niche related) domain.

To solve this problem I looked into some free tools and found an okay way to find usable expired and expiring german domains. They are obviously not top notch and a tad harder to come by but should do the trick just fine. Or so I hope.

The thing that worries me is that it's virtually impossible to create a niche related PBN, so I will have to be creative in creating a relevant article for the money site backlink.

I'm currently watching about 8 domains and will hopefully be able to snatch at least one of them. Registration of the domains will be done using bought email addresses and different domain registrars. If the first small network is a success, I will create another one for the fresh site.

Short Update - 12.7

I actually managed to get one of the domains but decided against using it for now. I will try to get a few that are at least somewhat relevant to my niche and in the meantime focus my attention more on the social aspect. Google and Twitter proceed to grow quite well but facebook is not moving at all. I may set up a fake account, let it mature for a week or so and then promote the site in some groups.
I also updated both sites with fresh content and fixed some style issues.

Short Update - 13.7

I created a fake facebook account, will flesh it out over the week and then start to promote one of the sites in some groups. I also registrered the first domain for my future pbn, it's an old news site without branding in the name. The backlink profile is great with over 30 clean domains, good keyword diversity and the archive history checks out as well. I'm not so sure how I will build it up. I guess I could either rebrand it completely or write a news site with fake news?

I will now look for a fitting (cheap) hoster and then create some content before letting the page go live.

Short Update - 14.7

Minor setback, I found a great (looking) Host, fast support, cheap and trustworthy looking. Ordered an hosting package today and ended up calling them to cancel everything after only 20minutes. Turns out they have a 20$ fee if you want to use an extern domain and I'm not going to put up with that crap. On the bright side, I've written the first 2 pbn articles and the idea for the domain I had yesterday turned out to be pretty nice. I posted a new article on g+ and actually had a nice conversation in the comments, how rare's that?

Short Update - 16.7

As of today, the first pbn site is indexed, up and running. After the first host that I dropped I was able to find one that was a tad more expensive but more suited to my needs. I will write about 10 more articles for it and then update it weekly for a while. I guess I will start linking to one of my money sites in about 2-3 weeks. I also set up some 301 redirects and made the design look a bit more natural. Social media for both sides is going better than expected, no giant leaps were made but it grows slow and steady. What really made my day was that the "fresh" site already ranks on page 2 for the first keyword

Short Update - 28.7

Page one is average 10 unique search engine visits und grows on social media. Page two is naturally jumping around a lot in the rankings but is also doing quite good on social media. The first PBN site is completed, it got several articles, videos, images and a twitter accoung with several followers to make it look alive. I will probably write one more article tomorrow and set the first backlink to one of my money sites. The search for suitable german domains for my PBN is still onoing but pretty slow since I can only check about 5 domains on majestic per day. I thought I had a nice one this morning but a closer look revealed some real sick shit in the anchor texts... passed on that one.

I will continue and expand the domain search by also looking for expired web 2.0s. But since I'm only looking for german and austrian sites It also may take a while.

Short Update - 31.7

Something weird happened today when I tried creating a facebook account to advertise the fanpage in a few groups. I registered a dummy email and created a facebook account with it. But when I logged into fb I was hit by an "someone tried to access your account" message. Weird.

After clicking ok I was in the fb acc of some random chick? I could view the messages but then the account was locked. I'm not sure what happened there, maybe someone creted an account and changed the connected email address afterwords to the dummy email I created?

Short Update - 04.08

The second PBN site is online and will link to my site within a week or two. I also decided to focus my attention not on the aged, but the new site. The older site got content for a few months scheduled and will just fly on auto pilot for a while. I made this decision because I really enjoy working in the new niche and can, because of that, bang out articles like nothing. I uploaded a new and more fitting theme yesterday and optimized it. The new design allows for more prominent flavour text, for which alone I added about 1500 words.

That being said, I will focus heavily on good, quality content and social media. Besides that, the search for good, german pbn domains continues.
