Hope everyone is having a great and productive day. I've decided to start a journey to document my efforts and failures/successes with my new site. I've attempted similar endeavors before but never really stuck with it and ground it out. This time will be different .
What I've done :
1. Registered domain and hosting through Powerup. I really thought about going with Digitalocean but at the last moment decided to go with Powerup . I may end up switching eventually as I think DO may provide better speeds. I guess it's important to note that I started with a fresh , brandable domain name.
2. I decided to go with the Schema theme , and hired DezinerGuys to do a logo. https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/p...al-media-services-offer-check-reviews.714054/ - that's his thread. The logo turned out to be just what I was looking for and he was easy to work with. A+ service at a great price.
3. I installed the basic plugins and modified the schema theme to my liking.
4. Created social accounts for instagram, Pinterest, facebook, and Twitter for now. Started working on getting followers and making my accounts look genuine. Will let them age a bit before going to crazy with it.
5. Installed SSL cert + got dedicated IP set up.
6. Hired ZionIce to create a 2500 word buyers guide for me. I decided to go with Zion because of the multiple great reviews and people recommending him. It's not just about having a fantastically written article , its what I am going to use to build off of and replicate for the content I write myself. I haven't received my order yet but will update the thread when I do. I will say that Zion was extremely thorough in making sure he knew exactly what I wanted, it was a real pleasure working with him !
7. I've written a few top 5 "product" articles and a couple individual review articles as of now. I've been making sure I pass Yoasts Onpage SEO recommendations and trying to do the best Onpage SEO that I'm capable of.
That's pretty much what I've done so far so you're all caught up. A little about my niche and KWs. They seem to be pretty low competition , no other niche review sites targeting my keywords and writing good content. My competitors are mainly eCommerce sites with no relativity to the products being sold. Product ranges from $25 - all the way up to $300 , with the most popular products around 80-120. I've used SEMrush for all my KW research.
Goals
My long term goals are to get this page up to atleast $1,000 per month and hopefully exceed that. I hope to accomplish the 1k per month within 6 months, but as long as I'm seeing some progress it'll be good with me! I've invested ~160$ thus far and made 0. My sites are brand new and have barely even had time to be indexed. I hope to be able to invest at least $100 a month into the site to help speed things along. Some months I may be able to invest slightly more.
Short term goals are to continue to develop content and grow my social media accounts.
I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff , but this is a good start. I will try to update at least twice per week or anytime that there is relevant information warranting an update.
