I've used affiliate marketing as a second income the last year (been studying). Now I have a degree in Criminology, and I'm currently looking for work. However, my country is the mecca of socialism, and I will probably stay unemployed for life (if I don't change my gender). I could take a shit job, like prison guard or something but tbh, I don't want to.
So I decided to focus on my affiliate marketing, however, as stated in the title - my income in $500 a month's, which is not enough.
In short, my goal is to make $3000 a month. I've been unemployed for almost one month now. And it feels like I'm being tested, because ever since I decided to go full berserk on the affiliate marketing and stop the job hunting - my rankings and viewers keeps dropping. However, I'm trying not the panic about it, and continue creating useful content and building backlinks.
So, my project:
I've got four websites.
One Tier 1
Three Tier 2
One month ago, I had 400+ visitors on my TIER 1, Today I've got like 60. My tier 2 sites have 30-40 visitors per day. (Projects and websites are 6-12 months old).
My Goal
Spend 12+ hours a day, building better backlinks (I think that's the reason for my ranking drop, too many social bookmarks and not enough high-quality links). And continue writing good content.
Problems
I've got money saved to be able to pay rent and buy food for max three months. The money I'm making from affiliate marketing will go to purchase better and more qualitative backlinks, so I will not be able to use that money, yet. So, this affiliate gig is a risk for me. However, I love what I do, and I want to continue doing it!
As stated before, I'm new to affiliate marketing, so I'm not sure you will learn anything from my journey, I hope you enjoy it anyway!
