Hey All,

Longtime lurker - looking to share my CryptoTrading Journey now that I have been "Revitalized" from this bull run.

TLDR Summary: Living in US, Late December, 2017 I had my first taste of crypto trading with $TRX. I decided on a whim and after doing a little research to invest $1000 into tron, average price around .03 cents. I couldn't have had better timing as Tron hit big time in January, 2018, as I watched Tron go from 0.03 cents to briefly touching 0.30 cents on binance.com, giving me a 10x return on my investment. Being young and naiive, I became greedy and didn't take any profits. Then as Tron ended up crashing down, I ended up removing my $1000 contribution and treating the rest as "Fun money", failing miserably trying to time dips waiting for Tron to go back up and reach those numbers, which it never did. I ended at that point with my initial investment out, and ~$400 worth of Tron at the very end. I kept it in Tron until August 2019, when I found another potential "Diamond in the rough", $Zilliqa. I moved me $400 worth of tron to $Zil, and ended up making 5x on that investment. At this point I had around ~$2k, and was looking for my next "Gem". I thought I found it in Summer of 2020, with $MTV, aka "MultiVac". I went full-steam ahead into Multivac, investing my $2k worth of $Zil and throughout 2020 I added ~$4k of my personal funds into $MTV, DCA and waiting for it to blow up once the mainnet was released.

As of today, the mainnet still has not been released. The team constantly delayed, no real information, and the team started a seperate project dFed.Finance that seems to be where most of their time and effort has been going.

Luckily, in December 2020 I decided to cut my losses and move my ~4k worth of MTV into $ETH, when it was around $900. Clearly looking back now that was a great buy. I improved that buy by selling ~2.5 ETH when the price was around $1510, and moving a little over $4k into $GRT, when it was averaging around $0.70. This was my big win, as I have made over $8000 in total profit on my Graph bet alone.

As of right now my total worth has grown from ~4k to a portfolio worth $16,763. At most, I was maybe ~$20 short of breaking 20k.

I currently have my investments broken into 2 Sections - Interest Accounts and Trading.

In my Interest Account I have ~$8,157.33, I have placed my "Money Put In" into USDC (to not be traded with again) of $6,045.91. This covers all of my money that I have ended up putting into crypto, so I have this in a stablecoin earning interest paid out in BTC Monthly (8.5% APR, 1% Transaction fee to pay me monthly in BTC instead of USDC). In addition, I have 1 ETH earning Interest, with the interest being paid to me in USDC. I have 8.5 Link in another interest account being paid out in Link, weekly.

Interest Account - $8,161.79
USDC(USD Coin), 6045.91 Coins, ~$6045.91 USD Value
ETH(Ethereum) - 1.0, ~$1966 USD Value
LINK(ChainLink) - 8.51, $299.14 USD Value
BTC (Bitcoin) - $11.46 USD Value (Interest)

Trading Portfolio: I primarily trade in alt coins, trying to find new technology and ones that haven't "popped off" yet. Currently my Asset Breakdown includes:

Trading Portfolio - $~8000
HTR (Hathor)- 5506.06 Coins ,~$3,431.53 USD Value.
XDB (DigitalBits) - 39,050.94 Coins, ~$1,354.20 USD Value.

That is insane, I am never a short term investor. I always thought short term investment is just pure gamble.
Good to see that you are already 4x from what you started. That is actually insane!
Keep up the good work, would like to see how you go from here

Would like to follow up this thread for next update.. Good Luck...

I will never invest in a currency not backed by govt. China govt has launched the crypto currency and Indian govt is doing the same... I might invest in those crypto currency but not bitcoin or other private cryptos. They might get extinct completely one day.

Good luck, Nice diversified portfolio. Interested to know your upcoming multibagger coin and it’s research.

Goodluck on your journey. Are you swing trading?

It's hard for me to think too "long term" with crypto, at least from a trading/investment perspective. It sure has cost me at times so far (Sold $Zil too soon and KCS). I view crypto as being a mix of incredibly strong tech and incredibly strong speculation, allwhile currently dependent on Bitcoin.

I'm sure everyone does a "coulda woulda shoulda" with BTC, but at this point it's priced out of my interest levels. Even with BTC at $46k right now, I'm rather confident that we will see a 100k BTC run this bull cycle. 2x isn't worth the risk of another bear crash personally.

I do my due diligence on coins, while also debating my own personal risk/reward. I tend to stick with low cap coins that I see strong use cases for, while also keeping my eye out for the next opportunity.

Thanks! About to post a little late update, but things have been a little crazy haha.

02/19/21 Portfolio Value (I use Delta Pro to track) - $16,851.81)

Interest Account - $7,723.86

USDC(USD Coin), 6045.91 Coins, ~$6045.91 USD Value (Stayed the Same)
ETH(Ethereum) - 1.0, ~$1,430 USD Value (Lol Yikes). My purchase price of the 1.0 ETH was at $1169.35, so although it’s not great, not in loss from initial purchase.
LINK(ChainLink) - 8.51, $213.55 USD Value

Blockfi Interest -

BTC (Bitcoin) – 0.00053334 BTC, ~$24.72

Referral Bonus - 0.0002087800 BTC, $10

Celsius Interest

LINK (Chainlink) – 0.00803 LINK, $0.16 worth

Interest Account Thoughts:

Blockfi is very interesting to me, and something I plan to stick with. I received ~$25 of Interest with me depositing my amounts starting in Middle of February. I am excited to watch my interest continue to grow. If anyone has interest in Blockfi, feel free to PM or ask below! I plan at certain profit levels to continue increasing my USDC Blockfi Balance and keeping my "Trading Portfolio" in the 10-30k range. The interest is too good IMO.

I personally would rather use Blockfi over Celsius for large amounts because I have more trust in Blockfi. I value the institutional investors with BlockFi (Fidelity Investments for example), however please do your own due diligence on the security of your funds and if it is a good investment vehicle for yourself

Trading Portfolio:

Man, the Volatility within Crypto is something serious, isn’t it? Kindof funny right after my post things starting going wonkers with BTC dropping from 58.3k to as low as 43k (based on Kucoin values).

I try not to do too much “Swing Trading” as I think it’s tough to time the market, however when It was moving back and forth the way it was I began swing trading with coins that I trusted, GRT. I sold my $HTR around .93 Cents and begin buying and selling $GRT. Buying around $1.70, and then selling $2.00. I made some decent profits doing this that helped overlap some of my other losses. With the market volatility and the analysis looking like the markets were due for a little correction, I had two choices on my end. Take profits and minimize losses where possible and stick in a stable coin, or ride it out. I have PTSD from the 2018 bear run watching my portfolio turn to nothing, so decided initially to move my trading portfolio into a stablecoin while keeping my YOLO Trading Coin DFT (DeFiat) as is due to it being a microcap coin to begin with.

I ended up sitting on around ~$9000 in my trading portfolio in USDC, originally planning to DCA into one of my preferred Alts when things looked like it would start to bottom out.

I decided to move full into my DFT(DeFiat) “Yolo” trading coin after something that occurred this past Wednesday. I learned a little late to the party (I must have missed this within my own DD) that DFT’s locked “liquidity pool’s contract was expiring on February 24th, around 10:00 AM EST. TLDR: On February 24th at 10:00 AM, the Liquidity Pool for DFT was going to become unlocked (roughly $300,000 worth of tokens). DFT has an anonymous development team, they were very transparent about the upcoming unlock of the liquidity and their plan to immediately re-lock the liquidity pool for an end date of 12/31/2021, with the ability for the team to extend the lock period without needing it to be unlocked, however no way to unlock earlier. TLDR: Anonymous Dev Team had the opportunity to run with $300k worth of value.

I was nervous I was about to be rug pulled my investment ~$1000 at the time, however was also intrigued by their transparency. If I was going to steal $300k, I wouldn’t have updated the community or team and just taken the coins. I decided to ride it out, see what happens next. Surprising to me – the Dev Team were true to their word, the contract unlocked and they safely locked it in the new contract.

With the volatility in the crypto marketplace and my trading goals of finding new tech and ones that haven’t “popped off” yet, due to this being a micro-cap coin I decided to move the majority of my trading portfolio into DFT, as the dev team now has my trust and that’s worth a lot to me. For all intents and purposes my trading assets are “all-in” to this DFT coin. I understand the risks of this, however with my own risk assessment it is worth it due to the micro-cap quality of this coin and the trust I have with the team. This is an educated gamble/risky investment based on trust and interest in their upcoming application, Anystake.

Trading Portfolio: I primarily trade in alt coins, trying to find new technology and ones that haven't "popped off" yet. Currently my Asset Breakdown includes:

Trading Portfolio - $~9,127.95

$GRT (Graph) – 3.020622 Coins, ~5 USD Value

ETH(Ethereum) – 0.0626 Coins, $90.22 USD Value

ETC(Ethereum Classic) - 1.97 Coins, $20.88 USD Value.

NU (NuCypher) - 10.59 Coins, $7.75 USD Value.

BAND( Band Protocol) – 0.33529293 Coins, $4.10 USD Value

Yolo Trading coins -
DFT(DeFiat) – ~918 Coins, ~$9,000.00

Nice journey. A little gamble-ish for me, but definitely fun. I think you have good chances to reach 6 figs because it's alt season. But I'm curious if you have an exit strategy.

You left me in the dust, I'm still using spreadsheets.

Couldn't agree more with this!
Its incredible what you could achieve this far....

Definitely gamble-ish. I try and do my due diligence, but in the end crypto is speculation anyhow haha. I don't put any money into crypto that I wouldn't be fine going to zero. I tell people this is my "Casino money" as I stay away from the blackjack and poker tables.

I plan to leave my "savings account" as is. No plans to remove any of those funds at this point, as the interest is worth it still. If the APR reduces I will most likely re-evaluate.

From a "Trading Portfolio" perspective, I'm in $DFT right now for the long haul. I think when investing in micro-cap projects it involves a lot of risk, so need to have returns that are worth the risk. No defined exit strategy beyond pulling out at a 10x return. With $90k from DFT (will be interesting i get anywhere close to a 10x), I plan to move 60k as USDT into my blockfi account., and leave the remaining to trade with. The Interest on $67,000 USDT would be ~ 6,234.16 per year on Blockfi, so I would plan to use that amount to continue funding my crypto investments and trades and never put more fiat money into crypto.

Beyond that, no real plan to withdraw at this point. My full time job has me with great benefits, 100k+ TC, with good wlb. Plus, If I did get to 6 figures in Crypto I imagine it would be rather difficult to call it quits, but I'm hedging me eventually losing in the next bear market by keeping a large portion within stablecoins gaining interest. I guess my only other thing I would do is withdraw my ~4k cash put in to make my crypto portfolio truly from trading.

I started a couple of months before you in 2017 and turned a nice profit from some of my early investments.
I tried to diversify my holding portfolio and found out that staking double your chance of making profits on your investment : with the value and with the new coins you receive by staking.
Have you looked into staking some of your coins ? I think it's possible to stake USDC on Binance for example.

I'm currently staking ETH (to receive Eth 2.0), ADA, FLOW, VET, DOT, XTZ.

Good luck on your journey, my only advice would be to try to diversify more your Interest account, maybe a couple of % into other coins with high potential for this year (with interesting upcoming projects, like Cardano who has a solid roadmap, or Enjin that starts to get some traction with several games and is one of the few cryptocurrency autorised for trade in Japan).
