Hey all, I'm kindda new-old here. Been reading a lot the past few months and now decided (more like i'm now able) to take action.
So skipping the boring intro, my first assignment would be to rank #1 a brand new site.

Niche
It's a product that i'm building a site around.
Searches (exact) : 3,3000. There are also 4 more keywords which are basically synonyms with 1,600 - 6,000 searches. I'm pretty sure that if i'll rank the main keywords, the others would be easy to rank for.
Example could be 'decorative mirror'

Competition
Since it's a product, obviously the top 10 results are sites like amazon, ebay etc...
There is one site (currently ranked #9) which is an emd(.)net
Image of competition from MS (can't post pictures yet)
imm(.)io/1cQnx

My current site
-Domain, hosted already, using WP, 10 articles, indexed. (created 10 days ago)
-My site currently only ranked for..hmmmm..
Lets say my keyword is 'computer camera', so the domain I have is a short of computer+camera like compcamera and currently ranked only #4 for comp camera.
Hope you understood and I know it's nothing but at least I know Google sees my site (:

To do - Day 1
On Site SEO

  • Reviewing the articles and making sure there are no mistakes (grammar, typos etc...)
  • Using proper HTML tags (h1,h2,bold etc...)
  • Setting up Tags and Categories (not 15 tags/post just for SEO...just a few real normal tags I could think of)
  • Basic interlinking (again...not gonna go crazy and create a link from a page to the same page with anchor text, that's just stupid)
  • Order 20 Articles (300-500-700 words mixed)
  • Spin one Article I find on the net for 2nd/3rd tier blasts in the future.
That's it for my goals for the day. After i'm done with these goals, I'll start planning my link building campaign.

If you feel you have anything to share or contribute go a head, any help is welcome.
Thank you guys for reading, Now it's time to work.

I wish you luck! It's good to have your website just indexed early, sometimes that can be the hardest part in the beginning.

I agree. It could take a lot of time to get your website indexed. It's good that Google has already noticed your site. For many people, it's one of their toughest challenges to get their site indexed.

Looks pretty much exactly the way I do my new satellite sites, so unless you do some seriously stellar fuck-up's, you should be good to go :drinking2

Although I have never gone head-to-head with Amazon and the likes, so I can't really comment on that - but I'll keep an eye on this thread to see how you'll perform!

Good luck with your journey! I'll follow this, hopefully you update it daily :)

Thank you guys for the comments. Galator thanks for the thread, I will check that out as well.

UPDATE DAY 1
Reviewing the articles and making sure there are no mistakes DONE
Using proper HTML tags DONE
Setting up Tags and Categories DONE
Basic interlinking DONE
Order 20 Articles DONE
Spin one Article I find on the net for 2nd/3rd tier blasts in the future. - I have watched the video of MatthewWoodward (can't link to it yet) 1 hour of great information, I figure that to make an article the way I want would take about 3 hours, i'll get on to it right now.

UPDATE DAY 2
Well, it took me 5 hours to spin the article they way I want it. I did not used images/videos/links in it, only text for now.
What I did to spin - as I said I watched MatthewWoodward video, I wrote each paragraph twice, each sentence 3 versions, almost each word/phrase had a few versions, also I've included 6 paragraphs and each time it will show only 2 of them randomly (those were advantages kind of content so they made sense no matter what)
OK, so that's it for my to be used later article.

TO DO DAY 2
Starting to build links and social presence.
1.Create accounts at Youtube, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.
*Create a video, upload, link.
*Post status, photos, tweets, link.
2.Bookmarking - open accounts at top 10 sites.
*Manually bookmark 6 different pages from my site (not even one to the homepage)
*Manually bookmark my 4 social accounts, direct link to status/pic/video etc.
3.Find at least 5 High PR blogs (niche related) with high moderation (super low OBL)
*Comment (Really reading the content and really commenting helpful stuff) - Hoping for at least 1/2 to stick.

Just a quick update - I got an offer I couldn't refuse from a friend, I'll be back from my **free** trip in a week (Barcelona / Mallorca) and then i'll get everything on track again.
Sorry for the delay guys, when I'm back i'll keep updating.

HOLY MOLEY!!! That competition looks intense. Especially if it's a few amazon pages! Best of luck. I'll be checking to see how far you get. Give it everything!

How do you plan on monetizing this? adsense or an affiliate program for that product?
