[Journal/Method/spoonfeed] The 'Crashed Challenge' 30 Days to Money...

crashedchallenge.info was down for me, for a while. Now it is back up. Any idea what happened to Crashed?

same here! lol I believe the trick in anything espescially in internet marketing is the "sticking it out" while continuously developing and growing... What KraftyKyle said in some post reminds me of this correct mindset quote: "prepare for everything but don't expect jack"

good luck!

hey, been following your posts! (good stuff) what would you suggest to be a good first move before crashed method?

Look into domain registrars and hosting companies. Pick one you like the most and set aside some money for it.

You should also start brainstorming a topic and then do your domain name research.

Great news guys, schools out for another year so I now have the time free to finish this!

Over the past few months I've been playing with some truly exciting things and I am going share these with you over the next few weeks!

I'm going start by asking for any specific questions/areas/topics that you would like to see covered and I'll try and include these..

I am happy you are back crashed!!!
now you can finish what you started. but I didn't start because I didn't have a domain and hosting nor now. do you think I can start it with a blogspot/weebly site? or is it too late?

are you going to continue from where you finished or start all over again?
are you still going to guide about seo and sites or also about PPD and yt?

Thanks in advnace for the answers.

It's never too late, your 30 days start from the day you start. I am going try and sort out hosting/domains of some kind.

I am going continue from where I stopped, though if necessary I will extend it and I do have a couple of new tools I plan to include.

SEO is something that I am covering long term as we go rather than all at once, however I still stand by the saying social is the new seo. PPD and yt will also get some coverage as will PPC.

The 'just day posts' site is down. Will you be putting it back online?
This is one horse I am willing to ride. :)

Yes, the site is back up as of now, I am away at a conference until Sunday Evening however will update it then on my return and hopefully move it to my other server.

So are you going to share some domains and hosting as you did at the start?
Can you please include me in this because I want to start but I have no money to invest but I am willing to "invest" all the time I have !

If I start this challenge should I skip some days or do everything?
When I do the challenge can I combine days or do every day in separate ?
When will you upload your next videos?

Thanks in advance for the answers.

Yay you're back :D Recently found your challenge. Any advice on what to do now that there is no more tweet attacks?

Ok, just made the new design for the Crashed Challenge blog live! :) Hopefully its a lot prettier on the eyes with the snazzy new logo :)

I have some domains left though they are near the end of their year registration, if you are starting the challenge this week you should be able to earn enough to extend them...

Do everything apart from twitter stuff, you can combine days etc

Yes, Day 19 is going include advice for Twitter :) And will be live hopefully this week (just waiting for my laptop back from repair as its got all my camtasia stuff on it), please please do backup as even the best laptops die occasionally!!!

This is definitely one of the more detailed posts about setting up your site from the very beginning. Will definitely be a good source for newcomers to refer to in the future!

Day 19 Part 1: Catching Up To Google Penguin...

I started this challenge nearly a year ago when I had some free time, I didn't realise how much time or effort it would take (each post with video is nearly 8 hours, and each post without a couple of hours). Now I bring you day 19, and then the remaining 11 days to finish day 30 on the day that I started originally, and I hope that you will continue to join me on this journey to the end.

In the time since I last post things have changed, as I was saying a year ago, I believe that Social Marketing is key (head back to Day 1 to see this). This is something I believe even more strongly today, google have introduced +1 for human input to rankings, there are more social networking sites, and more guru's are getting behind it publically (though only with outdated/over satuated techniques). Facebook is changing (new timeline, instagram etc), Twitter is changing (better spam control/automation prevention), youtube has changed (more advertising/social interaction), many new exciting sitess have sprung up including spotify, pinterest, chill, Wunderkit, Habbo, netlog, Zorpia and more. Making money online is a constantly evolving and diversifying industry, things change and its up to you to keep up without getting lost in the new ideas.

There is a saying I believe in completely, "Give a man a fish and feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and feed him for life". This challenge is step by step however I am trying to keep the balance between theory and practicality. Its easy with an idea to give up purely because you do not know where to start, I believe I have solved that already for you (especially the ones that have started making money already). For the last 11 days I am going keep the step-by-step element however I am also going dive deeper into the science and theory. Which words are magic, how seo works (or doesn't depending on your point of view), what authority actually means, and how you can leverage all these to make more money.

A few notes on Google Penguin and the big angry Google Panda

When I first started the challenge, I said that I was not going focus on SEO for Google etc with my focus being on Social Marketing for Social Traffic. In the past few days I have seen posts popping up saying Google is destroying businesses, people are going from earning thousands to pennies, and now people are asking where all the internet marketing and seo guru's have gone... I have made a point about diversifying, not putting all your eggs into one basket. Whilst google may be the most popular, there are other search engines out there including Bing (which is the default on windows computers), Yahoo, Ask etc which while singulary may not give you equal results to google, when combined will. However that is beside the point, originally when the internet first started it was links (and Page Rank) that got you high ranking, then it was forums.

Now I honestly believe that the social revolution is upon us. Originally I said that although AI is good, to be accurate the search engine needs to be human edited. Whilst a human will not sit there and review sites in a database, a human will interact social and share/tweet/pin stuff that they like. They will use a description to refer to what they are linking to, they will share it, then if others agree that it is worthy, they will share it as well. People are complaining about crappy new sites getting to the top of the google listings, social bookmarking is one of the oldest tools for getting new sites ranked quickly... And it is also using social interaction, sharing that site across multiple different networks across different users. If I was to construct relevant engaging search results I would focus on the social history of that site, and the descriptive terms that the site is shared with.

Though not obsolete the way blog comments need to be used has also changed, the using keywords in the anchor text boost is no longer a good thing. Its easy to parse the comments from a blog post, and even easier to determine if the anchor text is a keyword. I would suggest that you use a proper name with blog comments such as "John at Crashed Challenge" to ensure that you are not penalised for trying to manipulate your rankings and to show that it is a real person.

Day 19 Part 2: To Follow Shortly

I've got a meeting in 8 hours to prepare for now (and I've been awake 18 hours now), however I am releasing this now as I believe it will help people in what is a difficult and demotivating time. I will finish part 2 this afternoon and it should follow in the next 24 hours.

Also the blog site is now on a faster server :)

im going to start this 30 day challenge soon but i got a few quick questions.

Where do i buy a .info site?
Do i just come up with a website that i know alot about so its easy to write?
im thinking about doing something that involves exercise/gym/bodybuilding since people are always looking to get in shape
how exactly do i find search words i should use? i dont get that whole search word part?

im a complete noob

Buy it where you like chap but with coupon codes available you'll likely find a .com/.net etc for similar money. Search domain purchase coupon codes on this site or your search engine of choice and you should turn something up.
Good luck, it's an interesting learning experience and I say that from personal experience as this is where I've done my learning.

First, it is realy interesting blueprint, thanks for sharing. I found today this, and looked at it a little bit and i am sure i will read all. But i can't open your website? Is it dead or in maintance?

Can't believe I only found this today. I will definitely use some of this info in my next venture.
